Research On The Impact Of Network Capability Of New R&D Institutions On Innovation Performance

As a new form of R&D organizations,New R&D Institutions are important carriers to lead scientific and technological innovation,accelerate the transformation of achievements,help enterprises transform and promote the rise of industries in the new economic era.In the new era,the relationship between the internal network of New R&D Institutions and external networks,such as governments,universities and other R&D institutions,has become an important factor that can directly affect the innovation performance of New R&D Institutions.From the perspective of network,this interdependent and interrelated network relationship helps organizations gain knowledge,resources,markets and technologies,improving the efficiency of innovation activities.Therefore,institutions must have the capacity to develop and manage network relationship,known as network capability.In practice,network capability,an informal mechanism,has become a strategic means for institutions to obtain resources and improve innovation performance.This paper mainly focused on the influence of network capability on innovation performance.Knowledge absorption capacity and network location were selected as mediating variables,and the single-chain mediating effect of one variable and the chain mediating effect of two variables were discussed respectively.In this study,New R&D Institutions led by universities was selected as the research object,and the data were recovered through a questionnaire survey.SPSS 26.0 and AMOS25.0 were used to verify the theoretical hypotheses.The research found that the four dimensions of network capability of New R&D Institutions,including network vision,network construction,organization management and network utilization,all have a positive effect on innovation performance.The two dimensions of knowledge absorptive capacity,potential absorptive capacity and actual absorptive capacity,have a significant intermediary effect between network capacity and innovation performance.The two dimensions of network location,centrality and structure hole,play a significant mediating role between network capability and innovation performance.Network location and knowledge absorption capacity play a chain mediating role between network capability and innovation performance.This paper empirically tests the influence path of network capability of New R&D Institutions on innovation performance,and puts forward corresponding countermeasures based on it.First,attention should be paid to the improvement of network capability of New R&D Institutions to avoid the inertia of relationship among network members.Second,it is necessary to improve the knowledge absorption capacity of New R&D Institutions and promote acquisition and application of knowledge.Third,New R&D institutions should actively embed in the innovation network and attach importance to the improvement of network location.
