Statistical Research On The High-Quality Development Of Enterprises Enabled By Digital Technology

For China’s economy,which is currently entering the stage of overcoming difficulties,how to effectively promote the high-quality development of small and medium-sized enterprises through the digital economy is the top priority.As of 2020,the digitization rate of production equipment of industrial enterprises above the designated size in China has reached 49.4%(State Internet Information Office,2021).All data show that the digital economy has shown explosive growth in recent years,and has become an important force in empowering high-quality economic development and strong support for accelerating the construction of a new development pattern.With the application of digital technologies such as big data,cloud computing,and artificial intelligence in enterprises,enterprise digital transformation’s effectiveness and internal mechanism deserve attention.Based on the enterprise data of Zhongguancun Haidian Science and Technology Park from 2015 to 2019,this thesis conducts a systematic empirical study on the high-quality development of digital technology the high-quality development of enterprises around the application of digital technology of enterprises and its extent,the survival risk of enterprises and the logical mechanism of enterprise performance.The results show that the application of digital technology significantly improves the performance and viability of enterprises,can reduce the survival risk of enterprises by about 28%,and prolong the survival time of enterprises for 0.33 years,of which the interactive application of digital technology can reach 1+1> The multiplier effect of 2 effectively promotes the high-quality development of enterprises.This conclusion is still true after endogenous treatment of tendency matching scores,instrument variables,etc.In the mechanism analysis,innovative behavior,talent effect,cost structure effect,resource allocation effect,and labor structure effect are important mechanisms for digital technology to improve enterprise performance.Further research has found that digital technologies in enterprises with high innovation ability and a great degree of innovation will significantly improve the efficiency of digital technologies to prolong the survival time of enterprises.In the heterogeneity analysis,the enabling effect of digital technology on the high-quality development of enterprises performs better in large enterprises,Chinese Hong Kong,Chinese Macao,and Chinese Taiwan,and foreign-controlled enterprises,and presents a "U-shaped" distribution in the life cycle stage of enterprises,with the strongest effect in the mature period,so enterprises should reasonably plan the digital transformation path according to their characteristics.This thesis provides microscopic evidence that digitalization empowers enterprise growth and digital economy enables high-quality development.
