Study On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Chestnut Industry In Miyun District,Beijing

The prosperity of industries is the primary task of rural revitalization strategy and an urgent need for farmers to become wealthy.As a pillar industry in Miyun District,chestnut plays an important role in promoting farmers’ income growth,agricultural efficiency,and economic development.This study comprehensively analyzes the current development status and existing problems of the chestnut industry in Miyun District through methods such as literature review,on-site interviews,and questionnaire surveys.By using SPSS software for statistical analysis and employing the SWOT model,the study analyzes the development advantages,disadvantages,opportunities,and threats of the chestnut industry in Miyun District and proposes strategies and suggestions suitable for the development of the chestnut industry in Miyun District.The research content and results are as follows:(1)Through the investigation of the current development status of the chestnut industry in Miyun District,it was found that the majority of farmers are male.The age group of 51 and above has the highest proportion,indicating a serious aging population.The overall level of education is generally low.The investigation on chestnut cultivation reveals that individual farmers operate in dispersed areas with generally small planting areas.The varieties are mixed,and the level of large-scale cultivation is low.Chestnut orchards have a focus on planting rather than management,and the infrastructure is inadequate.The use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in chestnut planting areas is extremely low.Manual labor is predominantly used for harvesting,and the level of mechanization is low.There is a significant income disparity overall.The investigation on chestnut sales channels shows that local or out-of-town merchants are the main purchasers,and the purchase price remains stable at three to five yuan.The investigation on chestnut technical training indicates a lack of knowledge and skills in technical training.The training content does not match the needs of chestnut farmers,and the main training entities are cooperatives and the government.(2)Based on the chestnut industry environment in Miyun District,a SWOT model analysis was conducted to analyze its strengths,weaknesses,opportunities,and threats,and to formulate development strategies.Finally,a comprehensive analysis of the problems existing in the development of the chestnut industry in Miyun District was conducted based on the research,investigation,and model analysis.In the cultivation stage,there are issues such as a low level of scalability,inconsistent varieties,inadequate infrastructure,and a lack of professional talents.In the processing stage,there are problems such as a lack of leading enterprises,limited product diversity,and insufficient research capabilities.In the marketing stage,there are issues such as a single sales channel,a lack of brand awareness,and a lack of market trading standards.(3)This study provides a comprehensive analysis and policy recommendations for the development of the chestnut industry in Miyun District.In the cultivation stage,it is necessary to accelerate the selection and breeding of high-quality chestnut varieties,achieve large-scale planting,and accelerate the training of professional talents.In the processing stage,it is necessary to strengthen the leading enterprises,enhance deep processing capabilities,and increase technological investment.In the marketing stage,it is necessary to broaden sales channels,strengthen brand protection awareness,and improve the market trading system to achieve the sustainable development of the chestnut industry,increase farmers’ income levels,and promote the implementation of rural revitalization strategies.In summary,based on the current development status of the chestnut industry in Miyun District,this study explores the existing problems in the development of the chestnut industry and proposes effective solutions and policy recommendations.The study focuses on practical operation on the basis of theory and has important guiding value for promoting the healthy development of the entire chestnut industry.
