Study On Influencing Factors Of Farmers’ Willingness To Participate In Endowment Insurance For Urban And Rural Residents In Xundian County

Along with the continuous improvement of endowment insurance system,besides commercial insurance,endowment insurance of urban and rural residents is an important part of social security.Xundian Hui and Yi Autonomous County is under the jurisdiction of Kunming City,Yunnan Province.It is an alpine mountainous area with an isolated geographical location and rugged mountain roads.Under the influence of natural resources and geographical environment,farmers in Xundian County rely on agricultural planting and animal husbandry as their main economic sources,and their willingness to participate in the endowment insurance for urban and rural residents is not very strong.However,the endowment insurance for urban and rural residents plays an important role in guaranteeing the elderly life of farmers.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the willingness of farmers in Xundian County to participate in the endowment insurance for urban and rural residents to find out the pain points that farmers face in participating in the insurance,and to improve the enthusiasm and initiative of farmers in Xundian County to participate in the endowment insurance for urban and rural residents.This paper conducted a field survey on the influencing factors of farmers’ willingness to participate in "endowment insurance for urban and rural residents".In the process of investigation,questionnaires and interviews were adopted to summarize the collected data and test the reliability and validity of the questionnaires.Binary Logistic regression model was used.It is concluded that age,health status,family size,labor force,income level,payment method,government departments’ efforts to publicize social insurance policies,government departments’ service level and other factors will have a significant impact on farmers’ willingness to participate in social insurance.Through the analysis of these influencing factors,the problems of income,ideology and culture,government service and system design faced by farmers participating in the endowment insurance for urban and rural residents were found,so as to put forward suggestions such as increasing farmers’ income,attaching importance to the cultivation of farmers’ cultural quality,optimizing the administrative service process by the government,grasping the pertinent nature of government publicity and fully optimizing the system design.It is hoped that these suggestions can improve the willingness of farmers in Xundian County to participate in the endowment insurance for urban and rural residents.
