The Impact Of Digital Economy On Global Value Chain And China’s Countermeasures

With the continuous development of digital technology,the digital economy has become an important force in the development of global economy,and the outbreak of COVID-19 has accelerated the transformation of economies to digitalization.The increasing proportion of digital economy in production and trade will inevitably affect the international trade exchanges of various countries.Therefore,analyzing the value-added trade between countries from the perspective of global value chain can help us see more clearly the changes of the trade status of various countries under the international labor division system with the development of digital economy.Based on previous studies,this paper integrates Marx’s international division of labor and value theory into the analysis of digital economy and global value chain.Through the investigation and Research on the connotation of digital economy and global value chain,it is found that under the digital economy,data has become an important factor of production,the innovation of digital technology enables the upgrading and development of value chain,and digital products and services are embedded in the traditional value chain,On the other hand,a new value chain has been extended.Various changes are promoting the reduction of trade costs and the improvement of trade efficiency.The international division of labor is changing imperceptibly,which has a significant impact on the global value chain.In order to further verify the results and analyze the specific impact,combined with the existing research on digital economy and global value chain measurement,this paper selects major economies,measures and analyzes their digital economy development level,global value chain participation and division of labor status by constructing the digital economy development index system and using Wang(2017)WWYZ method,and constructs a regression measurement model on this basis,The empirical results show that there is a positive correlation between the development level of digital economy and the forward and backward participation and division of labor status of countries in the global value chain.The development of digital economy will help countries improve their position in the global value chain,especially for high-income countries,The development of digital economy may increase inequality in international trade.Finally,this paper makes an in-depth investigation on the development status of China’s digital economy and global value chain,analyzes the problems existing in the upgrading and development of China’s industry in the global value chain,and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the upgrading and development of China’s industrial value chain based on the above research results: strengthen the construction of digital infrastructure to provide guarantee for the upgrading of value chain;Improve the laws and regulations related to the development of digital economy to provide a good environment for the upgrading of the value chain;Strengthen the innovation of digital technology to provide power for the upgrading of value chain;Promote the digital transformation of industry and promote the upgrading of industrial value chain.
