Abstract/Summary:
Under the dual impact of multiple complex external risk shocks such as the COVID-19,energy shortage and supply chain crisis,as well as internal difficulties such as slow development and insufficient recovery momentum, the global trade cooperation of countries around the world has faced enormous challenges. As the world’s second largest economy and the most important export trade country, how China continues to maintain its own effective economic growth and reasonably cope with uncertain risk shocks under the global economic recession and volatile situation has become an important topic of great concern for the country and the academic research community. In order to explore how to deal with and resolve risks, this paper focuses on export resilience,an important research object,in combination with relevant literature research, policies and conference proposals. As the change and long-term behavior of exports when resisting external shocks, export resiliencies the core key to global trade competition and improve its own response capacity in the next stage.Further,on the basis of literature review and theoretical research, this paper finds that overseas trademark registration is the export promotion direction that China has focused on and promoted in recent years, may has a close relationship with exports. Therefore, this paper innovatively analyzes and discusses the impact of overseas trademark registration on export resilience from a new perspective, and conducts relevant empirical discussion and analysis based on the sample data of 31 provinces in China from 2006 to 2020.In addition,in the literature study, this paper finds that export diversification may play an important role in the influence channel of overseas trademark registration and export resilience. This paper also subdivides export diversification into export related diversification and export independent diversification to improve the mechanism analysis. This paper mainly uses the principal component analysis, fixed effect regression and other research methods, and on the basis of integrating the achievements and contents of other academic research, explores the export resilience at the provincial level of China, and defines the export resilience as risk resilience, adaptive resilience and self-transformation and upgrading capabilities, and constructs an indicator measurement system of export resilience.Through empirical analysis and research, this paper mainly draws the following three conclusions:(1)Overseas trademark registration can significantly promote the import and export resilience.(2)Overseas trademark registration plays a positive role in promoting export diversification.(3)Export diversification plays an intermediary role in the relationship between overseas trademark registration and export resilience.Compared with other studies, the research perspective of this paper is innovative, and it measures export resilience with more comprehensive and rich measurement methods, and also improves the interpretation of specific impact mechanisms.Based on the empirical conclusion, this paper also puts forward relevant policy suggestions, such as attaching importance to the improvement of overseas trademark registration and improving their own risk response ability,to further provide empirical reference for the response under the actual economic environment.
