| More and more manufacturers are increasingly starting to change their sales strategy to provide solutions instead of selling single products by offering more aftermarket service,the broad category that includes the sale and delivery of maintenance,spare parts and other value-added services,along with the changes in customer demand,increasing market maturity and cyclical fluctuations in new equipment sales and pressure on pricing.Focusing on service has become a major driver to seek new aftermarket services revenue opportunities.Highly efficient spare parts inventory management can provide customers with high-quality after-sales service,cultivate the stickiness and loyalty of customers,accelerate the capital turnover,and improve the operation effectiveness.Therefore,the control and management of service spare parts inventory is particularly important in the after-sales service guarantee process.This paper intends to study the status quo of spare parts inventory management in the service and repair center of H company,starting from the inventory management theory,by deep dive on the ABC classification,demand forecasting and other related research,using literature review,quantitative analysis,qualitative analysis,summarize the problems and deficiencies existing in the management of spare parts inventory,and come up with optimization measures for spare parts inventory including standardized spare parts classification,effective spare parts inventory strategy,and integrated Supply chain coordination process to avoid inventory problems.From the perspective of actual service centers operations,by alleviating supply shortages risks and sluggish inventory backlogs caused by uncertain factors,all these improvement actions can enhance the inventory management level of repair centers,and improve inventory turnover on the basis of the lowest inventory cost,improve the on-time delivery to customer request service levels. |
