In the 21 st century,the business environment of enterprises has undergone unprecedented changes,and the turbulent environment has made enterprises suffer severe impact.Compared with mature enterprises,the new ventures are unable to recover quickly in the face of crisis due to the limitation of their own resources and capabilities and their poor ability to resist risks,and even face bankruptcy crisis.In the face of the impact of the external environment,some enterprises were able to recover,but some enterprises have since slumped.How to adjust and recover as soon as possible after being hit by emergencies has become a practical problem that they need to face.Organizational resilience is considered to be the key to a successful business response to emergencies.The existing research on organizational resilience is mostly limited to public organizations and mature enterprises.There are few studies focusing on new ventures,and the research on the antecedents and post-variables of organizational resilience is relatively scattered.The mechanism and path of organizational resilience have yet to be revealed.Therefore,in order to explore the influencing factors of the organizational resilience of new ventures and its mechanism of action on the performance,this paper explores the relationship between transformational leadership,organizational resilience,and corporate performance from the perspectives of internal,inter-organizational,and external organizations.relationship between.This paper believes that organizational resilience plays a mediating role,and introduces environmental turbulence and network ties as moderator variables.It believes that the environmental turbulence and the network ties will affect the mechanism of organizational resilience.Based on this,this paper proposes a mechanism for Moderated mediation models and puts forward corresponding assumptions,and tests the research hypothesis and theoretical model through empirical research.The research mainly adopts the method of questionnaire survey,taking the middle and senior managers of new ventures as the survey object.The study collected effective data from 181 new startups through a questionnaire survey for empirical analysis to test the model and hypotheses.The results show that transformational leadership style can improve the organizational resilience to resist various challenges and changes in the external market and environment.Organizational resilience can improve the performance of new ventures,and organizational resilience can play a mediating role in the relationship between transformational leadership and the performance of new ventures.Transformational leadership improves the performance of new ventures by increasing organizational resilience.Environmental turbulence and network ties play a positive moderating role in this mechanism.The more volatile the organization’s external environment and the closer the social networks between organizations,the stronger the positive effect of transformational leadership on organizational resilience and the stronger the mediating role of organizational resilience.From the perspective of the real environment faced by Chinese enterprises and based on the unique environment of China,this study has actively explored the organizational resilience of new ventures.Based on the internal,inter-organizational and external perspectives,this study further enriching the study of antecedent variables of organizational resilience.By verifying the significant positive impact of transformational leadership on organizational resilience and the significant intermediary role of organizational resilience between transformational leadership and enterprise performance,this study has formed a systematic formation mechanism and action path of organizational resilience.Besides,this study opened the black box of the formation and mechanism of organizational resilience,responded to the requirements of the basic elements of a complete theoretical framework,and promoted the research and practice of organizational resilience in the context of China.This study shows that enterprises can actively respond to changes in the external environment,establish and maintain social network relationships by cultivating and exploring leaders with the spirit of change,so as to strengthen the organizational resilience of enterprises and improve their performance,and provide practical practical suggestions for enterprises. |
