Common prosperity has long been the common aspiration of the people and the unremitting goal of the Communist Party of China.Entering the new stage of development, our social material and spiritual wealth are more abundant. In 2020,China’s GDP reached 101.6 trillion yuan, and 5.51 million rural poor were lifted out of poverty.Absolute poverty was eliminated in a historic way.But in reality, the rural areas of our country are widely distributed, there are many gathering points, and the number of farmers is huge.To realize the common prosperity of more than 550 million farmers,we still face the challenges of weak rural Base, low cultural level, backward production facilities, weak livelihood security, and large income gap within rural areas. These realistic problems make the rural poor areas become the short board of common prosperity and hinder the realization of the goal of socialist common prosperity. Therefore, the key and difficult point to promote common prosperity is still in rural areas, and the realization of common prosperity for farmers and rural areas has become the necessary and necessary condition for the realization of common prosperity for all people. In the 21 st century, agricultural subsidies,as a means of fiscal transfer payment, have played a crucial role in Huinong District’s policies and played an active role in raising the income of low-income farmers and alleviating rural poverty. Therefore,we should re-examine the impact of agricultural subsidies on the common well-being of farmers, find out the cut-in point and mechanism to better achieve common well-being.By systematically combing the related theories of agricultural subsidies and common prosperity, taking the Chinese household finance survey data(CHFS)as a sample,a two-way fixed effect model was used to test the promoting effect and mechanism of agricultural subsidies on farmers’ common prosperity, and to further study its heterogeneity. The results are as follows: first, agricultural subsidies can significantly promote the level of common prosperity of farmers;second, agricultural subsidies can promote farmers’ common prosperity through three mechanisms:stimulating the input of agricultural labor force, increasing farmers’ attention to economic information, and increasing the strength of social network, compared with the high-income group, the agricultural subsidy has a stronger promoting effect on the common prosperity of the low-income group, which is beneficial to reducing the gap between the rich and the poor within the rural areas and promoting the distribution effect of“Increasing wealth” and“Sharing”,and the effect of agricultural subsidies on the common prosperity of elderly families is stronger than that of young and middle-aged families.Based on the above theoretical analysis and empirical research results, combined with the current development of agricultural subsidies and common prosperity, focusing on the rural reality,in order to achieve the common prosperity of China’s society the following suggestions are put forward: first, strengthen the publicity of subsidy policies to increase the enthusiasm of agricultural production;secondly, implement differentiated agricultural subsidies to improve the targeting and accuracy of subsidies;thirdly, strengthen financial education, fourth, strengthen the quality of the labor force itself, improve the stock of rural human capital.
