With the rapid economic development,enterprises face intensified market competition and industrial upgrading,and the competition among enterprises turns to strategic adjustment flexibility and environmental adaptability competition.In many important links and nodes of enterprise development,managers are often the key to success or failure.Their work performance is more directly related to the enterprise’s overall strategy construction,market layout,corporate culture shaping or human resource structure,how to improve the performance of managers naturally become a topic of concern.In recent years,the development of positive psychology provides a perspective of growth mental model as the influencing factors of job performance.Individuals with growth mental model can improve themselves and correct mistakes,show higher openness,development and internal control,and create more dynamic behaviors.Therefore,constitute the dimension of mental models,study the influence on job performance,and identify the proactive behavior in the relationship between the function mechanism,is of great significance for guiding enterprises to construct targeted strategies to help managers improve their level of mental openness,shape a growth-oriented mental model,and correct their own behaviors and work concepts to create more performance.Firstly,this paper systematically reviews the research development of mental model and growth mental model.Based on the existing structure of growth mental model,a new dimension is proposed,named "self-limiting behavioral intention",which is directly related to the internal drive of individual behavior.The four dimensions of "cumulative cognitive structure-divergent mode of thinking-altruistic behavior intention-self-limiting behavior intention" were formed,and the structure of the model was refined to the second level.Secondly,according to the relevant theories of job performance and proactive behavior,the mechanism model of the influence of managers’ growth mental model on job performance with proactive behavior as the intermediary variable is constructed,and the hypothesis is proposed.Finally,online and offline questionnaires were used to collect data for empirical research.SPSS26.0,AMOS24.0 and other statistical software were used to analyze the valid data.The empirical results show that the growth mental model has a significant positive impact on managers’ job performance;Growth mental model can significantly positively influence managers’ proactive behavior.Proactive behavior can significantly positively affect managers’ job performance;proactive behavior partially mediates the relationship between growth mental model and managers’ job performance.Based on this conclusion,this paper puts forward practical suggestions for enterprises and managers.
