Study On The Development Of Rural Tourism And The Countermeasures For Increasing Farmers’ Income In Wawushan Town Under The Background Of Rural Revitalization

The 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed the rural revitalization strategy for the first time,and the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to comprehensively promote rural revitalization.After nearly 40 years of rapid development,rural tourism has become an important component of Sichuan’s tourism industry.In recent years,Wawushan Town,Hongya County,Sichuan Province,has relied on rich tourism resources to develop rural tourism,and the effect of increasing farmers’ income through tourism has been significant.It has played an important role in consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and promoting rural revitalization.On the basis of reviewing the current research status of rural tourism and farmers’ income increase both domestically and internationally,this article analyzes the relationship between rural revitalization,rural tourism,and farmers’ income increase;Based on in-depth field research and the application of questionnaire survey and interview methods to collect first-hand information,this study applies participatory development,sustainable livelihood of farmers,and stakeholder theory to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of rural tourism development and farmers’ income increase in Wawushan Town;Analyze the main problems in the development of rural tourism and the main factors affecting farmers’ income growth,and provide countermeasures and suggestions to promote the sustainable development of rural tourism and farmers’ income growth in Wawushan Town.Through investigation and empirical analysis,it is concluded that rural revitalization,rural tourism,and farmers’ income increase form a coupling system,and the three are integrated and mutually reinforcing.Under the background of rural revitalization strategy,Wawushan Town has explored the income increasing path for farmers to participate in rural tourism development by leading them to participate in the development of rural tourism industry by the government,helping them increase their income by participating in tourism;The rapid development of rural tourism,the rapid growth of tourism population and tourism income,and the accelerated change in the economic income structure of Wawushan Town;The development of rural tourism and the growth of farmers’ income in Wawushan Town have assisted in the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas.Cultural level,distance from home to the main road,distance from core scenic spots,length of travel,investment in travel funds,difficulty of loans,and number of tourism festivals are the main factors that significantly affect farmers’ income growth.At the same time,it was also found that in the process of promoting farmers’ income through rural tourism development in Wawushan Town,there are still problems such as a single mode of farmers’participation in management,lack of scale joint effect,blind and rapid development affecting the ecological living environment,insufficient integration of cultural and tourism development,lack of tourism talents,lack of scientific and coordinated planning,government one size fits all management,conflicting interests among multiple stakeholders,and large wealth gap among villagers.We should make overall plans and precise efforts on measures such as strengthening learning and training,strengthening publicity and guidance,strengthening regional cooperation,promoting long-term development,digging deep into cultural resources,recruiting talents and wisdom,consolidating hardware facilities,scientific planning and management,resolving conflicts and disputes,and promoting common prosperity,so as to promote high-quality development of rural tourism in Wawushan Town,increase farmers’income,and help the overall revitalization of the countryside.
