Research On Inventory Optimization Of Tianchang SG Chain Supermarket

With rapid development,chain retail supermarkets have brought many conveniences to people’s daily life,and have gradually become one of the main driving forces of Chinese commercial development.However,there are many problems in the development process,among which the problems restricting the development and operation of supermarket managers are more prominent because of their low inventory management level.Unlike the manufacturing industry,the retail industry only provides additional services for products and has no change in the use value of products.Therefore,the main task of retail enterprises is to consider how to complete the rapid sales of goods at a lower operating cost.This process depends not only on the goods themselves,but also on the inventory management level of enterprise managers.At present,the inventory management level of many chain supermarkets in our country is relatively low,and the inventory management mode lags behind.To solve this problem,enterprise managers must improve the inventory management level and optimize the commodity inventory structure.This paper takes Tianchang SG chain supermarket as the research object,studies the actual problems of the supermarket,and puts forward the optimization plan for the problems.Specifically,first of all,through consulting a large number of documents and books on inventory management,master certain inventory management theories and methods,and lay the foundation for the paper writing;Secondly,through the field survey of the research object,find out the problems existing in the inventory management of supermarket,and summarize and analyze the causes of the problems;Then combined with the actual situation of supermarket,put forward two inventory optimization schemes.The first is to establish a safety inventory model under the agglomeration strategy,study whether to store different types of goods in the central warehouse of the supermarket or in each store,optimize its safety inventory and solve the inventory distribution problem;The second is to use the Secondary ABC classification method to complete the classification of all inventory goods in the central warehouse,and implement different ordering strategies for different types of goods,optimize their turnover inventory,and solve the inventory classification problem.Finally,safeguard measures are proposed to ensure the smooth implementation of the optimization scheme.
