The Impacts Of Agricultural Production Outsourcing Services On Farmland Transfer By Small Farmers

As a modern production factor,agricultural production outsourcing service helps large-scale farmers and small farmers to break through the labor,technology and capital constraints.Theoretically,it can promote farmers’ transfer to farmland,at least delay the transfer out of farmland.However,given a certain amount of arable farmland,it is uncertain whether agricultural production outsourcing services will promote the delay or increase the transfer of farmland by smallholder farmers.If it will delay the transfer of farmland by smallholder farmers,my country’s large-scale household farmers Where does the increase in land transfer come from? Therefore,a comprehensive and in-depth study of the internal mechanism of the impact of agricultural production outsourcing services on farmers’ farmland transfer behavior is not only conducive to answering this question,but also helpful to understand the relationship between agricultural production outsourcing services and farmland transfer.Provide a useful supplement for the promotion of agricultural land transfer and agricultural production outsourcing service research.Based on this,this paper builds a theoretical analysis framework to thoroughly investigate the factor restriction mitigation effect of agricultural production outsourcing services,the farmland rent effect and the combined effect of the two,and profoundly reveal the impact mechanism of agricultural production outsourcing services on the farmland transfer behavior of small farmers.Using field survey data from 512 small households in Heilongjiang,Zhejiang,Henan and Sichuan provinces,this paper empirically test the impact of agricultural production service outsourcing on small farmers’ farmland transfer behavior,and further discuss agricultural production outsourcing services on farmers with different labor endowments.It is mainly the farmland transfer behavior of small farmers with heterogeneous aging,feminization and part-time employment.The main research results of this paper are as follows:(1)The evidence that agricultural production outsourcing services alleviate the factor constraints of small farmers is not significant;on the contrary,the evidence of the effects of agricultural production outsourcing services pushing up farmland transfer rents and promoting small farmers’ farmland transfer is significant.(2)The effect of agricultural production outsourcing services in alleviating factor constraints will be strengthened by the increase in the feminization of the rural labor force,but will not change due to the increase in the aging of the labor force.(3)Relative to small farmers with a lower degree of part-time work,the higher the degree of part-time work,the more elastic the land rent of the small farmers who transfer out of agricultural land,and the stronger the effect of agricultural production outsourcing services to promote the rent of agricultural land.(4)From a meso level,agricultural production outsourcing services have a certain role in promoting the transfer of agricultural land.Compared with existing studies,this article may be innovative in the following two aspects.First,comprehensively consider the factor restriction mitigation effect of agricultural production outsourcing services on farmers and the effect of farmland rents,and reveal in-depth the impact mechanism of the development of agricultural production outsourcing services on the farmland transfer behavior of small farmers.Moderate scale operation has a certain enlightenment.Second,the labor endowment and the degree of family part-time employment are included in the analysis framework,revealing the heterogeneity of agricultural production outsourcing services to the farmland transfer behavior of small farmers under different labor constraints,and a more in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the role of agricultural production outsourcing services.Based on the above research conclusions,there are the following two policy implications: First,further promote the development of agricultural production outsourcing services and promote the large-scale development of agricultural production in my country.Second,pay full attention to the differences in the impact of agricultural production outsourcing services on different types of farmers,increase the content of outsourcing services,improve the service quality of outsourcing services,and improve supporting policies.
