| In the era of rapid development of information technology, technological innovation plays a huge role in Economic restructuring. The diversified development trend of technology and the integration of interdisciplinary fields are bound to deeply promote the growth of industrial technology.Faced with the complex technological resource layout of oneself and other enterprises in the competitive environment, relevant research is conducted to help enterprises make choices based on existing technological resources for research and development models to promote innovative development.Based on the above background, this study combines resource based theory, dynamic competition theory, and transaction cost theory to explore the mechanism of the impact of technological diversification and R&D models on innovation performance through empirical research.Firstly, summarize the relevant research content of domestic and foreign scholars, analyze the logical framework of the research, and find the research entry point.Secondly, based on the above theories and scholars’ research framework,a conceptual model for this study is constructed and research hypotheses are proposed.Based on theoretical foundations,a specific exploration is conducted to measure the level of technological diversification in the layout of enterprise technological knowledge, which can reflect the distribution of different knowledge in the industry. There is a non-linear relationship between technological diversification and enterprise innovation performance, and there is an indirect impact mechanism. The research and development model plays a mediating role in the path of technological diversification on innovation performance in different dimensions.Based on this, different research and development models are selected,it will have a differential impact on the innovation performance of enterprises.Complementary assets,as collaborative resources for innovation activities, can regulate the impact of research and development models on innovation performance.Thirdly, the variables are described in detail, and then an empirical model is constructed to test the proposed assumptions, and a robustness analysis is conducted to strengthen the rigor of the research and demonstration.Further summarizing the hypotheses and empirical results, the main conclusions and management implications of this study were ultimately obtained. This study uses data from 263 information technology companies listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen A-shares from 2011 to 2020 as samples. The empirical results show that both related technology diversification and unrelated technology diversification can have an impact on innovation performance.Related technology diversification can affect innovation performance through internal R&D and collaborative R&D models, while unrelated technology diversification can affect innovation performance through internal R&D.According to the research, the management implications are as follows: for information technology enterprises,it is recommended that they clarify the level of technological diversification and choose appropriate research and development models for innovation;Enterprises need to coordinate and select collaborative R&D and internal R&D based on the level of relevant and non relevant diversification to achieve the effective utilization of innovative resources such as complementary assets. |
