Anti poverty has always been an important topic of human society.Eliminating poverty and achieving common prosperity is the essential requirement of socialism. At present,China has entered a moderately prosperous society in all respects.Against the backdrop of winning the battle against poverty,China has contributed its efforts to the global poverty reduction cause, embarked on the path of poverty reduction with Chinese characteristics, comprehensively promoted rural revitalization, and eliminated absolute poverty in impoverished rural areas. However, there is still relative poverty, and rural poverty reduction is still the top priority in solving the "three rural" problems. In 2023,the No.1 central document of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China continued to put forward the idea of linking poverty alleviation with rural revitalization, and taking the deepening reform of the rural land system and guiding the rational transfer of land management rights as an important channel for farmers to increase income. It can be seen that rural land transfer is very important for farmers to reduce poverty in a long-term manner, and poverty has multidimensional characteristics. The poverty reduction effect of rural land transfer is also multidimensional. Therefore, this paper focuses on the behavior of rural land transfer,Exploring the effect of rural land transfer on poverty reduction among farmers from a multidimensional perspective. On the basis of reviewing relevant literature at home and abroad, this article takes Sen’s feasible ability theory,multi-dimensional poverty theory, land property theory, etc.as theoretical guidance, combined with the current situation of rural land circulation in China and the theoretical analysis of rural land circulation for poverty reduction among farmers.Using the 2018 China Family Traceability Survey(CFPS)data,a multi-dimensional poverty indicator system is established using the Double Critical Value(A-F)method,and the multi-dimensional poverty index is measured and decomposed,Using propensity score matching model and multiple linear regression model to study the poverty reduction effect of rural land transfer on multidimensional poverty among farmers, and proposing relevant suggestions, aiming to provide theoretical support and reference for the land transfer in relatively impoverished rural areas, the improvement of sustained assistance policies, and the realization of rural revitalization. This article finds through empirical analysis that: 1.The incidence of multidimensional poverty among farmers in China is relatively high. Most single dimensional impoverished farmers are not impoverished due to income, but are more in a state of poverty characterized by lack of education, low living standards, and limited health security.Farmers who have already been lifted out of poverty are also prone to returning to poverty as a result. From a multidimensional perspective, when k=3,the incidence of multidimensional poverty is 46%,and the proportion of poverty deprived is 41.7%.Further decomposition of the multidimensional poverty index reveals that education has the highest contribution rate to poverty, followed by the dimension of living standards, and the deprivation rate is the lowest based on the subjective feelings of farmers.2.The multidimensional poverty reduction effect of agricultural land transfer is significant.Among them, the marginal utility of multidimensional poverty reduction of rural land transfer out is higher than that of rural land transfer in,indicating that as long as rural land transfer is involved, multidimensional poverty can be improved, but the improvement effect of rural land transfer out is better.3.The poverty reduction effect of rural land transfer varies across various dimensions. The rural land transfer has significant multidimensional poverty reduction effects in the dimensions of education and living standards.Rural land transfer households have significant poverty reduction effects in the dimensions of income, education, living standards, and subjective perception.Rural land transfer households have poverty reduction effects in the dimensions of income and living standards, but not significant.Although education is significant,it does not have poverty reduction effects.Based on this, this article is based on the perspectives of farmers themselves and agricultural land transfer.Based on the research conclusions,it proposes to improve the agricultural land transfer market, promote and guide the transfer of agricultural land, and encourage farmers to voluntarily participate in agricultural land transfer, especially the transfer of agricultural land,to improve poverty conditions;Strengthen vocational skills training for rural land transfer households and transfer households, continue to promote cultural education, and ensure employment stability;Connect the concept of multidimensional poverty reduction with the poverty alleviation and rural revitalization strategies, consolidate the achievements of poverty alleviation, and further achieve rural revitalization.
