| As globalization and informatization become the main trend of development,the market environment is changing,and managers need to face the complex situation of coordinated development of economy,science,technology,and society.Traditional leadership has been difficult to meet the requirements,so enterprises and managers are required to change the traditional leadership.Since 2020,the outbreak of COVID-19 has led to a heavy blow to the national economy,increasing uncertainty in the enterprise and market environment,and intensifying competition and gaming among enterprises.To obtain sustainable competitive advantage,enterprises take innovation as their own development strategy.The successful implementation of enterprise innovation strategy is inseparable from the daily behavior of employees.The development and encouragement of innovation behavior of employees through enterprise management practice can improve organizational innovation performance and promote sustainable development of enterprises.Therefore,innovation behavior of employees is of great significance to the survival and development of enterprises.This thesis summarizes the relevant theories of empowering leadership,power distance,relationship energy,emotional exhaustion,and innovation behavior of employees.Based on the literature review,based on the theory of interactive rituals,constructs a theoretical model that uses relationship energy and emotional exhaustion as an intermediary Variables and power distance are used as adjustment variables to uncover the connection between empowered leaders and innovation behavior of employees,expand the research ideas of empowered leaders,and provide a reference for organizations to make better use of the active role of empowered leaders.In this study,272 valid questionnaires were collected,and statistical analysis software SPSS24.0 and Mplus7.4 were used to test and analyze the samples.The results of this study show that empowering leadership can stimulate relationship energy and reduce emotional exhaustion in the process of empowerment,to promote employees to make innovative behaviors.When the power distance of employees is lower,empowering leadership has a stronger positive effect on relationship energy,and a weaker negative effect on emotional exhaustion.Empowering leadership is a common leadership behavior in organizations,and innovation behavior of employees is also critical to the organization.This study enriches the research of empowering leadership on innovation behavior of employees.In the process of empowerment,empowering leadership interact efficiently with subordinates in the workplace,which can stimulate subordinates’ positive feelings of passion,enthusiasm,and vitality.These positive feelings can make their work more pleasant,and they will have higher enthusiasm for their work,so that they can make more innovative behaviors of employees.Secondly,we explore the mechanism of the relationship between empowering leadership and innovation behavior of employees,namely,the mediating role of relational energy and emotional exhaustion.Through high-quality interaction at work,empowered leaders provide necessary resources to satisfy employees’ psychological motivation,create harmonious working relationship and working atmosphere,relieve employees’ emotional exhaustion and increase relationship energy,thus promoting employees to show innovative behaviors.Finally,the research on boundary conditions between empowering leadership and innovation behavior of employees is broadened.For employees with low power distance,the leadership behaviors provided by empowering leadership,such as relaxed atmosphere,participation in decision-making,and delivery of confidence in performance,conform to their value orientation and psychological orientation,and are more likely to generate relationship energy and avoid emotional exhaustion.For employees with low power distance,the opposite is true. |
