| Outside company operators are now a significant market factor to be considered due to the rising frequency of population shifts. For outside business managers, the biggest challenge is how to rapidly integrate into the local market environment and create external networks in the new environment. In competitive market conditions, enterprises established by external operators can hardly meet the demand for innovation by relying solely on their existing knowledge base, and they must rely on a continuous flow of new knowledge and information through their established network of relationships to address the problem of insufficient resources and capabilities. To address the issue of insufficient resources and capacity, they must continuously draw new knowledge and information through the established relationship network.Knowledge is the foundation of innovation, and since knowledge acquired by external business operators is frequently fragmented and disorganized, they must possess specific knowledge integration skills to convert it into knowledge resources needed for enterprise innovation, reserve or share it with internal personnel for future upgrading or replacement of new products, and form high-quality core competencies to improve the performance of enterprise service innovation. This work develops a theoretical model of the mechanisms of relationship embedding, knowledge integration, and service innovation performance based on social embedding theory. It finally classifies relationship embedding into trust and information sharing, knowledge integration into complementary knowledge integration and supplementary knowledge integration, and service innovation performance into financial performance and non-financial performance, based on combining previous research results and taking into account the actual situation of this study,to investigate the impact of relationship embedding on service innovation performance. This study employs a mix of a questionnaire and interview methodologies, and the research data is evaluated and analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 24.0,yielding the research findings. The findings indicate that relational embedding positively impacts firms’ service innovation performance: the dimensions of trust and information sharing significantly positively impact financial and non-financial service innovation performance, respectively;complementary and complementary knowledge integration have a mediating effect between both and each dimension.Based on the findings of the empirical analysis and taking into account the actual situation of Pingyao Ancient City, the following recommendations are made to outside business operators: first, focus on improving their service performance;second, pay attention to developing strong relationships with external network members;and third, concentrate on establishing an efficient knowledge in the local business environment. |
