Research On The Trade Of Agricultural Products Between Kyrgyzstan And China

Kyrgyzstan is located in the Central Asian region,with abundant natural and mineral resources.Its eastern region is adjacent to Xinjiang,China,and its agricultural and animal husbandry industries are relatively developed.In terms of exports,it is mainly composed of CIS countries and China,with most of its exports being fossil fuels and agricultural by-products.Since entering the 21 st century,with the continuous development of China’s social economy,Kyrgyzstan’s export scale of goods to China has been continuously expanding,and the overall trade development scale has been very rapid.Kyrgyzstan and China are geographically adjacent,with relatively low transportation costs for products.Trade in agricultural and pastoral products has obvious complementarity,accelerating the development of trade in agricultural and pastoral products between the two countries.In 2020,China has become Kyrgyzstan’s largest foreign trade partner,accounting for nearly 30% of its total foreign trade volume.At the same time,China is also Kyrgyzstan’s largest source of imports and third largest export destination country.Kyrgyzstan’s export trade of agricultural products to China has maintained a good development trend.Through the "the Belt and Road" development initiative,Kyrgyzstan and China have encouraged the development of agricultural products trade between the two countries,which has achieved steady improvement in agricultural products trade cooperation and development between the two countries and laid a solid foundation for agricultural products trade cooperation between the two countries.Based on the Gravity model,intra industry trade,comparative advantage and other theories,this paper studies the trade of agricultural products between Kyrgyzstan and China.The main content includes: firstly,analyzing the research background,purpose,and significance of agricultural product trade between China and Kyrgyzstan,proposing research ideas and methods,and introducing specific research content and technical routes;Secondly,based on defining the concepts of agricultural products and agricultural product trade,relevant theoretical foundations are elaborated.Thirdly,continue to analyze the foundation and current situation of agricultural product trade between Kyrgyzstan and China,and propose the problems in agricultural product trade between the two countries.Fourthly,analyze the impact of scale economy effect,product differentiation,foreign direct investment,scientific and technological investment,human capital and other factors on the agricultural product trade between China and Kyrgyzstan,and establish a data model to test the stability and cointegration of the influencing factors.The fifth is to propose countermeasures and suggestions for the development of agricultural product trade between China and Kyrgyzstan from different aspects,mainly including strengthening agricultural product technology exchange and cooperation;Fully utilizing the Silk Road economy to develop agricultural trade between the two countries;Eliminate agricultural trade barriers between the two countries,thereby reducing import and export tax rates;Improve infrastructure construction to reduce trade costs;Improve the agricultural product trade platform and industrial chain between the two countries.
