Technological innovation is an important way for enterprises to gain competitive advantage.With the decoupling of China and the United States,the outbreak of the new crown epidemic,and the Russian-Ukrainian conflict,the market competition environment faced by enterprises has become increasingly complex,uncertain factors have suddenly increased,and enterprises’ demand for technological innovation has become stronger.In this era In the background,many technology-based enterprises in my country have begun to adopt technology diversification strategies to cope with the changes in the current market,and academia has also followed the pace of the industry and has carried out a lot of research on the relationship between technological diversification and corporate innovation performance.Most of the researches discuss the influence between the two from the perspectives of absorptive capacity,dynamic capacity,technological proximity,organizational redundancy,etc.,but do not pay attention to how technological diversification affects different types of technological innovation capabilities first,and then affects the innovation performance of enterprises.process,neglecting to discuss the mediating role of ambidextrous innovation between the two.Therefore,from the perspective of technological innovation capability,this paper explores the impact of technological diversification and ambidextrous innovation on enterprise innovation performance.This paper firstly sorts out the relevant literature on the relationship between technological diversification,ambidextrous innovation,and enterprise innovation performance,and based on the relevant theoretical analysis of resource-based theory,knowledge-based theory,and ambidextrous innovation theory,it proposes that technological diversification promotes enterprise innovation.Innovation performance,technological diversification promotes ambidextrous innovation,ambidextrous innovation promotes enterprise innovation performance,and ambidextrous innovation plays a mediating role in the process of technological diversification strategy affecting enterprise innovation performance.Secondly,the entropy index is determined.Law,patent information,and improved entropy weight method are the measurement methods for variable technology diversification,dual innovation,and enterprise innovation performance,and a corresponding empirical model is constructed.After careful analysis,sorting and screening,this paper selects my country’s Shanghai and Shenzhen A A total of 508 high-tech enterprises were selected as the research objects,and the research window was from 2015 to 2021,and a total of 2540 data observation points were obtained.Then,in the empirical test,the relationship between the three variables is fully verified by using descriptive statistics,correlation analysis,main effect analysis,mediation effect analysis and robustness test.The research results show that technological diversification positively affects enterprise innovation performance,technological diversification positively affects exploratory innovation and utilization innovation,exploratory innovation and utilization innovation positively affect enterprise innovation performance,and exploratory innovation and utilization innovation respectively.Innovation has a mediating effect between technological diversification and firm innovation performance.Finally,in view of the empirical results of this paper,the following suggestions are put forward for my country’s high-tech enterprises to improve their innovation performance:first,actively implement the technology diversification strategy;second,give full play to the role of ambidextrous innovation;third,moderately adjust corporate debt level;fourth,increase the intensity of R&D investment;fifth,strengthen the training of R&D personnel.
