Enterprises are profit-oriented organizations, and they naturally pursue good financial performance. However,in life, enterprises are often exposed to a series of acts such as infringing on employees’ rights and interests, damaging the environment, neglecting quality and even evading taxes. These wrong behaviors show that enterprises have the weak awareness of corporate social responsibility and still have not found correct paths to improve financial performance.Under the initiative of sustainable development, actively fulfilling social responsibilities may be one of the important ways for enterprises to improve business performance and achieve long-term development. In recent years, female executives have continuously participated in enterprise management and exerted ’her power’,and the academic community has also deepened its research on female executives. Therefore, this paper takes female executives as the starting point to explore the relationship between social responsibility and financial performance in the food industry, which is related to the national economy and the people’s livelihood. This research has certain significance for enterprises to correctly understand the value of social responsibility and the healthy development of society. This paper adopts a combination of empirical analysis and case study. In the empirical aspect, this paper selects the latest corporate data of China’s food industry from 2017-2021 as the research sample, analyzes the impact of social responsibility on financial performance, and tests whether there is a moderating effect on the relationship based on the characteristics of female executives. In terms of cases, this paper takes Qia Qia Food as an example, first analyzes its social responsibility performance based on stakeholder theory, then analyzes the impact of Qia Qia Food’s comprehensive performance of social responsibility on financial performance, and finally discusses the role of female executives. The results show that in the food industry,(1)corporate social responsibility has a significant role in promoting the improvement of financial performance;(2)The proportion and education level of female executives have a moderating effect, that is,the higher the proportion of female executives and the higher the education level of female executives can positively regulate the positive role of social responsibility on financial performance;(3)The age of female executives has no significant moderating effect on the two.To this end, this paper suggests that enterprises should fully and actively fulfill their social responsibilities, pay attention to the value of female executives, establish a reasonably structured senior management team, and call on the government to strengthen the role of guidance and supervision,so as to urge enterprises to hold the bottom line of responsibility and protect the rights and interests of women in their work.
