Spatial-temporal Variation And Influencing Factors Of Regional Tourism Carbon Emission Efficiency In China Based On Calculating Value Added

Tourism ecological efficiency considers the impact of tourism on the environment from the perspective of tourism economic output and its environmental impact system.It is an important tool to quantitatively measure the relationship between tourism economic development and environmental quality,and is of great significance for achieving high-quality development of tourism.In view of this,on the basis of sustainable development theory,ecotourism theory,this study takes 30 provinces（not including the Tibet Autonomous Region）in Chinese mainland from 2000 to 2019 as the research object,and estimates the tourism carbon emissions of each provincial administrative unit according to the"tourism added value coefficient".This paper uses the single ratio method to calculate the tourism ecological efficiency of various provinces and cities in China,and explores the influence of various factors on the ecological efficiency of China’s regional tourism through the spatial Dubin model under the time fixed effect,so as to identify the high-quality development path of tourism under the"double carbon"policy,and to promote the realization of the"double carbon"goal on schedule.Effective suggestions are put forward to achieve the win-win goal of tourism economic growth and environmental quality improvement.The results show that:（1）From 2000 to 2019,the tourism value added of regional in China showed a significant upward trend,and the gap in the tourism value added between regions showed a gradually smaller trend;（2）The tourism carbon emissions showed a significant upward trend of regional in China,with an average annual growth rate of 13.09%.The proportion of tourism carbon emissions in China’s total carbon emissions continues to increase,from 1.93%in 2000 to 5.60%in 2019.The overall average value of tourism eco-efficiency in the study area decreased from 0.253 kgCO₂-e/CNY in 2000 to 0.081 kgCO₂-e/CNY in 2019,but there was a significant gap in tourism eco-efficiency between regions.（3）There is a significant positive spatial correlation in the spatial pattern of each region.There are adjacent characteristics of local High-High agglomeration and Low-Low agglomeration in the spatial distribution,and the degree of global spatial agglomeration fluctuates over time.The number of regions with high level of regional tourism ecological efficiency is increasing,the difference of sustainable development level of tourism among regions is gradually decreasing,the phenomenon of polarization is weakening,and there are dynamic convergence characteristics.（4）The regional tourism ecological efficiency in China is gradually achieving a high level of balanced and coordinated development.Among the four major economic regions,the western region has the largest gap within the group,and the gap between the major sub-regions is decreasing.（5）The tourism ecological efficiency of regional in China has endogenous spatial interaction effect and significant spatial correlation.The influencing factors have different effects on the tourism ecological efficiency of the region,and the impact on the level of tourism ecological efficiency between adjacent regions is also different.
