Research On The Impact Of Digital Financial Inclusion On High-quality Agricultural Development

Since the reform and opening up,China’s rural agricultural development has made great achievements and has now entered a new stage of comprehensively promoting the revitalisation of the countryside and accelerating the modernisation of agriculture and rural areas.The report of the 20 th Party Congress points out that high-quality development is the primary task of comprehensively building a modern socialist country,of which high-quality development of agriculture and rural areas is an important task and key area.As an important force to help agricultural development,digital inclusive finance can enable financial resources to penetrate into all aspects of agricultural activities and provide inclusive financial services to the vast number of rural areas,greatly promoting the supply of high-quality agricultural products,the integration of rural industries,the increase of farmers’ income and the healthy and sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas,and making an important contribution to promoting high-quality agricultural development.Therefore,it is particularly important to clarify the relationship and impact between digital inclusive finance and high-quality agricultural development.Based on a combination of theory and empirical evidence,this thesis firstly introduces the concepts of digital inclusive finance and high-quality agricultural development,and proposes an analytical framework and research hypotheses by combining financial exclusion theory,inclusive growth theory and agricultural development stage theory.Secondly,from the four dimensions of agricultural economic efficiency,agricultural structure optimization,agricultural green development and agricultural coordination and sharing,an index system is constructed to evaluate the level of high-quality agricultural development,and the entropy value method is applied to measure the level of high-quality agricultural development in 30 provinces and municipalities in China from 2011 to 2020,and the current situation of digital inclusive finance and high-quality agricultural development are analyzed in detail respectively.Finally,by constructing a two-way fixed effects model and a panel threshold model,the impact and heterogeneity of digital inclusive finance on the high-quality development of agriculture are tested empirically,and the robustness of the model regression results is examined by various methods.The research results show that:(1)Digital inclusive finance can significantly promote high-quality agricultural development,and by dimension,the depth of use of digital inclusive finance has the greatest impact on high-quality agricultural development,followed by the degree of digitization and the smallest coverage.(2)The impact of digital inclusive finance on high-quality agricultural development has a double threshold effect,and as the level of development of digital inclusive finance continues to increase,its role in promoting high-quality agricultural development also gradually increases,showing the characteristics of marginal increment.(3)The heterogeneity results show that,by geographical region,the overall regional differences are not significant,among which digital inclusive finance has a greater role in promoting high-quality agricultural development in the western and central regions,while it has a relatively smaller role in the eastern region;by agricultural functional area,digital inclusive finance has a promotional effect on high-quality agricultural development in the main food-producing regions and the main food-selling regions,and the impact on high-quality agricultural development in the main food-producing regions is The impact of digital inclusive finance on high-quality agricultural development is greater in the main food-producing regions,but not significant in the balanced food production and marketing regions.Finally,based on the above analysis,suggestions for countermeasures to promote high-quality agricultural development are proposed.
