With the rapid development of science and technology,scientific and technological innovation has become an important driving force for China’s economic and social development,and has also become the core competitiveness of the development of scientific and innovative enterprises.Shanghai Stock Exchange established Sci-Tech Innovation Board in our country,and implemented the policy of registration system of issuing stocks,so as to broaden financing channels and to stimulate the development of technology innovation companies.The new energy high-tech industry is one of the key areas supported by our country and exchanges.A lot of related enterprises have already or are seeking better development in the capital market.Company Z,analyzed and studied in this thesis,is a new energy photovoltaic high-tech enterprise,which has also been listed on the Sci-Tech Innovation Board.The performance of enterprises is one of the important conditions for enterprises to be listed on the stock exchange,and enterprise performance evaluation has become an important tool for managers of modern corporate enterprises to formulate development strategies and operational decisions.Compared with traditional performance evaluation methods,EVA has many advantages,among which the most significant advantage is that it can compensate for the shortcomings of traditional performance evaluation indicators and reflect the real business results.This thesis firstly evaluated the operating performance of Company Z on the SciTech Innovation Board on four dimensions: profitability,debt paying ability,operational ability,and development ability,which using traditional indicator analysis methods.It analyzed the problems of current performance evaluation methods and explains the necessity of EVA performance evaluation in Company Z.Then,this thesis calculated the annual EVA performance of Company Z from 2017 to 2021 by constructing the EVA calculation model and determining the calculation elements.According to the calculation results,this thesis evaluated the annual EVA performance of Company Z.At the same time,this thesis used a comparative research method to compare the EVA performance of Company Z with traditional performance evaluation indicators and the EVA performance of listed photovoltaic enterprises.The results of the comparative research demonstrated the effectiveness of the implementation of EVA performance evaluation methods used by Company Z.It also found that there were problems with main business income,capital structure,and investment in research and development in Company Z as well as the gap between Company Z and the listed photovoltaic enterprises.Based on the business management problems found in the study,this thesis has put forward suggestions to improve the EVA performance of Company Z from the perspectives of developing its main business,optimizing its capital structure,and implementing EVA assessment and incentives.Finally,this thesis draws the following important conclusions from the study: First,EVA is an effective evaluation tool for enterprise performance.Secondly,EVA performance evaluation results are conducive to enterprise management.Thirdly,building an EVA evaluation and incentive system is conducive to the long-term development of enterprises.The performance evaluation method based on EVA studied in this thesis is expected to provide a reference basis for Company Z to objectively and truly evaluate enterprise performance,and the proposed strategy for Company Z to enhance EVA is expected to provide direction for Company Z to improve business performance and enhance core competitiveness in the future.
