The rapid development of the e-commerce industry has not only contributed to changes in productivity, but also led to innovations in the way of consumption, stimulating the overall development of the economy and society.Competition in the e-commerce sector is becoming increasingly fierce, and those who are able to take the lead in the competition are inevitably those with high levels of management and a sound business model However, since ecommerce enterprises are very different from traditional enterprises in terms of asset structure, business model and value sources, most traditional performance assessment methods are not applicable to e-commerce enterprises.Through collating and analyzing the research results of domestic and foreign scholars,we found that the performance prism model can be used to evaluate the performance of e-commerce enterprises, which can balance financial and nonfinancial factors, focus on the long-term interests of enterprises based on stakeholder satisfaction, and better fit the characteristics of e-commerce enterprises such as light asset operation, increasing marginal effect and high degree of customer maintenance.Based on this, this thesis introduces the performance prism model to construct a set of performance evaluation system applicable to e-commerce enterprises, and chooses Three Squirrels as the research object to explore the advantages of the performance prism model as a strategic management tool to evaluate the performance of enterprises in depth. This paper is divided into six parts, firstly,it introduces the background, purpose and significance of the study, and also researches and summarizes the related literature on the performance evaluation of e-commerce enterprises and the application of the performance prism model at home and abroad.Next, relevant concepts and theoretical foundations are introduced to lay the foundation for the development of the paper. Then, the current situation and problems of performance evaluation of e-commerce enterprises are analyzed and thus the performance prism model is introduced. Then in Chapter 4,the necessity and applicability of introducing the performance prism model are explained, and a complete performance evaluation system is constructed by designing indicators through the five dimensions of the performance prism, determining the weights using the hierarchical analysis method, and deriving a comprehensive performance score based on the expert rating method and the improved efficacy coefficient method. In Chapter 5,this evaluation method is adopted to evaluate the corporate performance of Three Squirrels and analyze the implementation effect of the performance prism model for analysis. Finally, the evaluation method is adopted to evaluate and analyze the corporate performance of Three Squirrels, and summarize the current problems of Three Squirrels and then give targeted suggestions to provide some reference for other e-commerce enterprises to evaluate their performance. The main conclusions that emerge from the research in this article are as follows.:Firstly, there are many problems with the traditional performance evaluation methods currently used by e-commerce companies, such as ignoring the fact that there are many non-revenue factors related to customers and time in the value composition of e-commerce enterprises compared to traditional enterprises, not paying attention to multiple stakeholders and imperfect evaluation indicators, and that e-commerce enterprises The performance evaluation results obtained using the above methods are inaccurate.Secondly,The performance prism model can,to a certain extent, solve many existing problems of traditional performance evaluation methods, improve the accuracy of enterprise performance evaluation, and better achieve the strategic objective of sustainable development of enterprises.Third, applying the Performance Prism Model in the Performance Evaluation of Three Squirrels, forming a long-term mechanism to improve the company’s management level and achieve strategic goals;it also provides a new way of thinking for other e-commerce companies to conduct performance evaluation and long-term development. |
