Research On The Coordination Between Rural Labor Force Transfer And Urbanization Process In Lao

Urbanization is a regular phenomenon and an insurmountable historical stage that inevitably occurs when the economic development of various countries reaches a certain stage.Urbanization plays an important role in expanding domestic demand,improving industrial structure,promoting sustainable and stable economic development,and changing people’s production and lifestyle.On the one hand,the advancement of urbanization is often accompanied by the transfer and upgrading of regional factors,such as population,capital,educational technology,etc.;but the most significant change is the labor force.On the other hand,the agglomeration of the population stimulates the development of the regional economy to a certain extent,and more demand and exchange accelerate the supply of goods and services.At the same time,in order to ensure the production and life of more Urbanization.The relationship between rural labor force transfer and urbanization is the most close.Both promote and restrict each other in theory.Laos is the only landlocked country in Southeast Asia.Due to the influence of historical tradition,political environment,strategic policies,social culture and other factors,the urbanization process in Laos has been relatively slow.Based on the current situation of economic society and urbanization process in Laos,this study firstly analyzes and summarizes the urbanization and population distribution in Laos.Then,based on the relevant theories of urbanization and labor flow,combined with the coordination degree evaluation method,25 three-level indicators are selected to construct and put forward the evaluation model of rural labor transfer and urbanization coordination in Laos,explore the main problems existing in their coordinated development,and draw the conclusion that the rural surplus labor force and urbanization development in Laos are currently in a weak coordination relationship.Finally,in view of the current situation of economic development in Laos and the problems reflected in the evaluation model,relevant research countermeasures are put forward from seven aspects: "industrial structure,rural agricultural development,improving social security,strengthening public facilities construction,promoting coordinated regional development,strengthening investment attraction and improving the comprehensive quality of labor force".The results of this study have important theoretical reference and practical guiding significance for effectively promoting the healthy and efficient development of urbanization in Laos and promoting the coordinated development of rural labor force transfer and urbanization process.
