Research On The Impact Of Scientific And Technological Innovation On Household Consumption From The Perspective Of Family Life Cycle

Under the background of make actively efforts to build a new structure of development,innovation of scientific and technological has become a nonnegligible motive power to promote residents’ consumption of Chinese people in China.Analyzing the possible impact mechanism of scientific and technique innovation on household consumption activities in China and to testify the influence of scientific and technique innovation on home consumption activities by using realistic evidence have macro reality meaning for the successfully runing of China’s economic machinery and the draft of economic policies.This thesis firstly make conclusion and summarize scientific and technological innovation,consumption upgrade,family life stage and other relevant conceptions and theories on the basis of reading a large number of relevant thesis and writings,and analyzes and discuss the mechanisms may have of the affection from the perspectives of supply and demand in combination wth social reality.After that,set up an index scheme which is established based on the level of innovation delimited by the direction of output to measure the level of scientific and technique innovation of each province from 2012 to 2018 and discus the characteristics of each province and the development rhythmical of scientific and technique innovation by the two views of development level and growth rate.Finally,take advantage of four years micro Chinese household data from CFPS,we empirically examine the impact and adjustment effects of scientific and technological innovation on promoting home consumption and structure upgradingn,and combine with family life cycle theory to study the heterogeneity of the impact of scientific and technological innovation on household consumption activities.The results show that: The level of scientific and technique innovation in China is continue ascending,but the level is clearly lower than other areas in the western of China.Increasing Scientific and technological innovation level can evidently promote total household expenditure and upgrad household consumption structure.And family education condition,family debt,home income and home non-financial assets summation all can make a adjusting effect in the course of scientific and technique innovation affecting family total consumption expenditure.And household education condition,housing loan pay and whether to engage in agricultural production have adjusting effect in the course of scientific and technique innovation affecting home consumption structure.Further research also found a conclusion that the impact of scientific and technological innovation on household consumption activities was heterogeneous in diffrence terms of household stages.Specifically,with the development of the family stage,the impact of technological innovation on total household consumption is inhibiting at first,then promoting,and finally becoming inhibiting again.The impact on the consumption structure is always shown as promoting,but the promotion effect is first weakened and then strengthened.The regulatory factors that affect consumption through technological innovation also include urban-rural differences and educational differences.As for educational discrepancy,innovation will boost the raise in total home consumtion in the group of high educated empty nest family and will also promote the upgrading of home consumption structure.However,innovation is not conducive to the increase in home consumption of low educated empty nest family.Although innovation will also advance the home consumption structure escalate,its escalate effect is apparent stronger than that of high educated empty nest home.The analysis results of widohood family also indicate that improvement of education will make innovation have more positive effect on home consumer spending.The analysis of urban-rural differences by family stage shows that the consumption activities of empty nest home and widohood family living in cities are more positively affected by innovation.This situation has some realistic motive,but there are differences with the overall output.Based on the above research results,this thesis advice government and people should focus more on develop scientific and technological innovation level in the western area,continue to maintain the investment and try hard to construct thescientific and technological innovation,and should provide precise assistance to different groups of people.
