The wave of digitisation is sweeping the world, and the digital economy is developing fast and radiating widely. Many industries have been affected by digitisation, and have started to explore new industry development patterns under digitisation and promote transformation and change in the industry. The "14th FiveYear Plan" clearly proposes to meet the development requirements of the times, accelerate the pace of industrial digitalisation and vigorously develop the digital economy to promote the steady growth of China’s national economy. For enterprises, digital transformation can help drive changes in the value creation model of enterprises, providing them with a new paradigm for value creation, which is conducive to enhancing their competitiveness and promoting the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries.Pharmaceutical distribution companies are currently facing changes in national policies such as volume purchasing and prescription drug outflow, increased competition in the industry and further squeezing of profits due to imperfect supply chains. Therefore,it is important to study the value creation of enterprises under digital transformation. This paper uses a combination of case study, quantitative research and comparative analysis methods, and is guided by the value network theory, resourcebased theory, value creation theory and process reengineering theory to investigate the value creation paths and effects of digital transformation in Kyushu Tong.Firstly, the motivations for the digital transformation of Kyushu Tong were analysed, namely the promotion of national policies, the expansion of customer demand and the need to broaden profit points.Secondly, the study identified four paths of value creation for Kyushu Tong: firstly, enhancing innovation capabilities and building a modern logistics centre;secondly, innovating supply chain management and exploring new business models;thirdly, expanding retail business and improving revenue structure;and fourthly, strengthening internal control and improving management efficiency. Finally, the effect of value creation was evaluated through three dimensions: factor analysis,EVA and non-financial indicators, and Kyushu Tong’s digitalisation path had a positive impact on both the financial and non-financial aspects of the enterprise, driving up its value. On the non-financial side, the company has improved its logistics capabilities and operational efficiency, achieved customer empowerment, developed industryleading incubation capabilities for new business models and established systematic internal control systems. The company’s non-financial performance includes improved logistics capabilities and operational efficiency, customer empowerment, industryleading new business incubation capabilities and systematic internal control systems.
