A Study On The Impact Of Digital Inclusive Finance On Urban Green Innovation

At present,China’s economy is moving towards a stage of high-quality development,a critical period for development transformation.To promote the development of China’s green and low-carbon transformation,green technology innovation is a key driver.Digital inclusive finance can alleviate the credit constraints of green innovation-type micro-entities and is beneficial to urban green technology innovation,and its development process is inextricably linked to government support and guidance.Using a panel of 247 prefectural-level cities from 2011 to 2019,this paper empirically examines the impact of digital inclusive finance on urban green technology innovation from the perspective of both the "quantity" and "quality" of green technology innovation.The role of government intervention in the promotion of urban green technology innovation is examined using a threshold panel regression model.At the same time,a mediation model and a threshold regression model are used to investigate the transmission mechanism of digital inclusive finance on green technology innovation.It is found that:(1)digital inclusion promotes the quantitative and qualitative growth of green technology innovation,and the findings are confirmed to be robust and reliable through a series of robustness tests.(2)Due to the increase in the level of government intervention,the promotion effect of digital inclusive finance on green technology innovation will also decrease.(3)Digital inclusion significantly contributes to higher levels of green technology innovation at different levels of government intervention,but as government intervention increases,the effect of digital inclusion in promoting green technology innovation diminishes.(4)The best promotion effect of digital inclusive finance on urban green technology innovation is in the east,followed by the west and finally the centre.The research results will help deepen the understanding of the relationship between digital inclusive finance,government intervention and green technology innovation,and reveal the mechanism of the role of digital inclusive finance on green technology innovation,providing theoretical basis and policy recommendations for China to promote green innovation in the new development pattern.
