Research On The Influence Mechanism Of The Application Of Digital Technology On Enterprise Breakthrough Innovation Capability

Under the tide of global digitalization,digital technology has become an important "magic weapon" for enterprises to seek steady development,obtain competitive advantages,and realize the latecomer’s catch-up,which has been the focus of academic and industrial attention.Breakthrough innovation,as a kind of innovation that can bring fundamental changes to a company’s technology and market,is increasingly favored by enterprises.Enterprises continue to increase investment in research and development,and strive to make progress in breakthrough innovation.For latecomers,they hope to break the existing market pattern and improve their own status.On the other hand,the leading enterprises in the market hope to maintain the existing pattern through breakthrough innovation and form sustainable competitive advantages.In recent years,many enterprises have strengthened the layout of digital technology.Whether the application of digital technology can help enterprises achieve breakthrough innovation is worth paying attention to.In the existing literature,there are abundant researches on the influence mechanism of digital technology on innovation performance,but there are few researches on how enterprises achieve breakthrough innovation capability through the application of digital technology.The mechanism of digital technology application on the breakthrough innovation capability of enterprises is fuzzy,the boundary conditions are still to be clarified,and there is a lack of empirical studies.Therefore,in order to deeply understand the relationship between the application of digital technology and the breakthrough innovation capability of enterprises,this study starts from the perspective of resource-based theory and ambidexterous capability theory.On the basis of literature review,through theoretical analysis and logical deduction,relevant research hypotheses are proposed,and a theoretical model of the application of digital technology,ambidexterous capability,environmental turbulence and the breakthrough innovation capability of enterprises is constructed.Explore the influence mechanism of the application of digital technology on the breakthrough innovation capability of enterprises.The research used SPSS 26.0 and Amos 25.0 software to analyze the research data obtained from the questionnaire survey of 223 enterprises,carried out reliability and validity analysis and correlation analysis,and tested the theoretical model by hierarchical regression analysis method.The robustness of mediating effect and moderating effect was tested by Bootstrapping method in SPSS Process plug-in.The results show that enterprises will enhance their ability of breakthrough innovation through the application of digital technology;The application of digital technology positively affects the capability of breakthrough innovation through the capability of exploration and exploitation;Environmental turbulence positively moderates the effect of the application of digital technology on breakthrough innovation capability.Based on the research conclusion,the thesis puts forward the corresponding management enlightenment.The possible theoretical contribution of the thesis lies in constructing a theoretical model of the application of digital technology-ambidextrous capability-breakthrough innovation capability,demonstrating the process of transforming external resources acquired by enterprises based on the application of digital technology into breakthrough innovation capability through ambidextrous capability,and expanding the theoretical research on the relationship between the two variables of the application of digital technology and breakthrough innovation capability.However,the thesis still has some shortcomings based on cross-sectional data analysis.
