In recent years,the process of new industrialization and agricultural modernization has been accelerating,and various supportive policies represented by "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" have been continuously implemented.Small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises have ushered in a new era of development and have evolved into an indispensable and important component of the national economy.In the context of the knowledge economy era,small and medium-sized production enterprises must rely on human resource advantages if they want to gain an advantageous position in the fierce market competition.As an important task in human resource management,performance evaluation is an important topic that requires in-depth research and analysis for small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises.While China’s economy is developing,the past demographic dividend has gradually faded,and the era of cheap labor is gone forever.Almost all manufacturing enterprises have to face the problems of difficult recruitment,retention,and high employment costs for production line employees.In order to promote the optimization and improvement of employee performance and enable employees to carry out work faster and more efficiently,manufacturing enterprises can solve the employment problem by reducing production line personnel.This paper takes SC companies as the research object and conducts in-depth research on the performance management system of front-line employees.Firstly,the research status of manufacturing performance management at home and abroad is sorted out,and the research plan and questionnaire design are carried out on this basis.Secondly,a wide range of questionnaire research was conducted for the production front-line staff of SC Company,and the data materials obtained were analyzed and summarized.Finally,based on the indepth analysis of SC’s existing performance management system,it is found that the company’s performance management system has problems such as unscientific design of performance management plan,single performance appraisal indicators,lack of feedback links in performance appraisal,lack of performance appraisal supervision mechanism,and failure to reasonably use performance appraisal results.In view of the problems found in the survey,this paper is based on the theory of employee performance appraisal,through the investigation of the scale of SC company,the characteristics of employee positions,the nature of employee evaluation indicators and employee assessment standards,aiming at the long-term performance appraisal problems of front-line employees in the production line of SC company,combined with common theoretical methods such as balanced scorecard,360-degree appraisal method and key event method,this paper puts forward ideas for the optimization of SC company’s performance appraisal system and how to effectively implement it.The assessment cycle optimization,assessment grade evaluation,assessment communication feedback mechanism optimization,assessment result application and other aspects are optimized,and the guarantee is provided from four aspects: improving system guarantee,strengthening organizational guarantee,creating cultural atmosphere,and establishing employee appeal system,so as to optimize the overall performance of SC company’s production front-line employees.In summary,the research of this paper can optimize the performance management system of the company’s front-line production employees,thereby improving the overall management level,hoping to provide some reference for other small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises.
