In the report of the 20th Party Congress,it is proposed to accelerate the construction of an innovative country,which makes "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" become a wave for all people,and also makes it clear that self-management and self-improvement of science and technology in China must become a strategic support for long-term development in the future.The science and technology-based SMEs play an important role in promoting the high quality and steady rise of China’s science and technology capability,and how to strengthen the independent innovation capability of science and technology-based SMEs is one of the topics that scholars are now discussing in depth.With the rise of the global knowledge economy,the risk of technological innovation is gradually increasing,and the homogeneity phenomenon is also showing a rising trend.The "lock-in effect" also affects the creation of innovation atmosphere in traditional industrial clusters,which makes regional technological innovation less efficient and industrial clusters face the challenge of disintegration or transformation and upgrading.The virtual clustering based on new generation information technology refers to the clustering of production factors in virtual space,which will promote the multi-level integration of platform,content and service,the effective linkage of network,service and terminal,and provide new ideas for technology diffusion,knowledge sharing and openness.It creates a new model of upstream and downstream associated cooperation and industrial alliance of enterprises,thus efficiently bringing into play the economic value of the network platform and expanding the development opportunities for the science and technology innovation activities of SMEs.Currently,there is a lack of empirical studies on the innovation development of technology-based SMEs and how virtual agglomeration affects the innovation performance of technology-based SMEs;therefore,it is of value to carry out an in-depth exploration of the impact and mechanism of virtual agglomeration on technology-based SMEs.In this paper,the relationship between virtual agglomeration,knowledge sharing,strategic flexibility and innovation performance of S&T SMEs is comprehensively and systematically investigated using literature analysis,questionnaire survey and statistical analysis.Based on the literature on virtual agglomeration,strategic flexibility,knowledge sharing and innovation performance of technology-based SMEs,a theoretical model is constructed.Taking Guizhou science and technology SMEs as the research object,we collected relevant data from 313 science and technology SMEs in Guizhou province and used SPSS24.0 and Amos22.0 tools to study the influence mechanisms of virtual agglomeration,knowledge sharing and strategic flexibility on innovation performance of science and technology SMEs,as well as the mediating role of knowledge sharing and the moderating role of strategic flexibility in the mediation process,and concluded the following Conclusions: First,virtual agglomeration directly affects the innovation performance of technology-based SMEs.Second,both knowledge sharing has a significant positive influence on innovation enhancement of technology-based SMEs,and both explicit and tacit knowledge sharing can significantly and positively influence the innovation performance of technology-based SMEs.Third,the data results confirm the positive effects of virtual agglomeration and its dimensions on knowledge sharing,and knowledge sharing partially mediates the positive effects of virtual agglomeration on innovation performance of S&T SMEs.Fifth,coordination flexibility plays a positive moderating role in the positive effect of knowledge sharing on firms’ innovation performance,while the moderating role of resource flexibility is not significant.Based on the above results,this paper proposes that science and technology-based SMEs should approach from traditional industrial agglomeration to virtual agglomeration to avoid vicious competition brought by limited rationality,information asymmetry and opportunism,integrate diverse knowledge with larger scale,shorter time and lower cost,effectively allocate and utilize social resources,stimulate enterprise innovation capability and promote enterprise innovation performance. |
