Abstract/Summary:
With the deepening of international division of labor,industrial integration has become a major trend of global economic development,and service is an important way to improve the quality and efficiency of manufacturing economy.At present,China’s manufacturing industry is facing the triple pressure of tight demographic dividend,the return of manufacturing industry in developed countries and the competitive entry of other homogeneous products.To break this bottleneck,we must focus on accelerating the integration of services and helping the manufacturing industry achieve transformation and upgrading.China’s economy is on the way to high-quality development,and the improvement of the competitiveness of export enterprises is an important part of high-quality development.This paper takes the enterprise mark-up rate as an indicator to measure the competitiveness of China’s manufacturing enterprises,and studies the impact of manufacturing service on the mark-up rate of export enterprises,which will help China move from a "manufacturing power" to a "manufacturing power".This paper selects the China Industrial Enterprise Database,China Customs Database and the World Input-Output Table from 2000 to 2014 to measure the level of manufacturing service and the mark-up rate of export enterprises and other relevant indicators,and explores the impact and ways of manufacturing service on the mark-up rate of export enterprises through empirical tests.The results show that:(1)there is a significant positive correlation between manufacturing service and the mark-up rate of export enterprises;(2)The heterogeneity among export enterprises will lead to differences in the impact of manufacturing service on the mark-up rate of enterprises.Among them,the improvement of manufacturing service level of non-state-owned holding enterprises,private enterprises and enterprises mainly engaged in general trade is more conducive to the improvement of enterprise mark-up rate,and enterprises in second-tier cities have a significant effect of service promotion compared with enterprises in other cities;(3)The intermediary effect test shows that manufacturing serviceability can affect the mark-up rate through two channels: export product quality and enterprise cost.On the basis of the above research results,this paper puts forward suggestions from three perspectives: enterprises themselves,industrial integration and government support.From the perspective of enterprises themselves,they should learn to grasp the opportunities of the times and develop service-oriented services continuously and pertinently;Optimize traditional management models to lay the foundation for highquality development of enterprises;Accelerate the improvement of its own innovation ability and expand its export competitive advantage;From the perspective of accelerating industrial integration,accelerate the integration of manufacturing and service industries,and take the digital transformation of the service industry as an important goal to build a digital economy industry and expand the expansion and extension of the service industry in more industrial chains;From the perspective of government support,the government should show its attitude and vigorously support the service-oriented transformation of manufacturing industry;Actively guide the application of service industry in other fields;Learn advanced development ideas at home and abroad,strengthen cooperation and exchange with the international community,and provide a better market environment for manufacturing enterprises.
