The global economic system is facing a new round of restructuring under the negative impact of anti globalization,trade protectionism,COVID-19 epidemic and other factors.RCEP fully considers the diversity of economic development in the Asia Pacific region,including developed economies such as Japan,South Korea,Australia,and developing economies such as China,Laos,and Myanmar.It conforms to the national conditions of member countries and it is a highly inclusive free trade agreement,providing an opportunity for revitalizing the economy of the Asia Pacific region.The higher integrated market brought by RCEP will further increase China’s export of advantageous products and enhance its ability to attract foreign investment.RCEP will help expand China’s provincial export market and meet domestic consumer demand,making it a key area for China’s provincial industries to "go global".In recent years,the total trade volume between China and RCEP partner countries has been continuously increasing,with trade commodities mainly including mechanical and electrical products,agricultural products,textile products,and base metals and their products.This article takes the trade products between China and RCEP partner countries as the starting point,and uses principal component analysis,entropy method,location entropy,and European distance to analyze the industrial cooperation between China and RCEP partner countries at the provincial level.Due to differences in resource endowments,geographical locations,and other factors,there are differences in industrial relationships between China and RCEP partner countries in different industries.Based on the competitive or complementary relationships between them,different cooperation methods and strategies are adopted.Research findings: Firstly,the leading industries in cooperation between China and RCEP partner countries are machinery,electronic equipment manufacturing,agriculture,and textile industries.Secondly,the provinces with good development in mechanical and electronic equipment manufacturing are mainly distributed in the central and eastern regions;The provinces with better textile industry development are mainly distributed in the eastern coastal areas,with Jiangsu,Zhejiang,and Fujian having higher levels of textile industry development than other provinces;Provinces with better agricultural development are mainly distributed in the central and western regions.Thirdly,the eastern provinces have the conditions to undertake cooperation between China and RCEP partner countries in the mechanical,electronic equipment manufacturing and textile industries,while the central and western provinces have the conditions to undertake agricultural cooperation. |
