| As one of the most active areas for economic exchanges and interactions,urban agglomerations have a basic support and radiation driving role in economic and social development,and can drive the development of larger regions.In the process of urban agglomeration development and evolution,urban agglomeration integration is an inevitable development trend.Promoting the integration process of urban agglomerations is a realistic need for current economic and social development,an objective requirement for regional development evolution,and a need to promote overall development.As one of the ten major urban agglomerations in China,the integrated development level of Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration still lags far behind that of the Yangtze River Delta,the Pearl River Delta and other urban agglomerations.Based on the relevant data of 16 cities in the Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration from 2005 to 2020,and on the basis of previous scholars’ research,this paper first uses the entropy weight-Topsis method to measure integration index of the cities;Secondly,from the perspective of urban connection,the revised gravity model is used to identify and construct the comprehensive development of cities and the connection network of each dimension,and then measure the integrated development level of urban agglomerations,and analyze the overall characteristics and individual characteristics;Finally,the QAP method is used to analyze the main influencing factors of the integrated development of urban agglomerations from both internal and external perspectives.The study found:(1)The comprehensive development of the urban agglomeration of Shandong Peninsula shows a significant spatial imbalance,and presents a situation of "high in the east coast and low in the west,high in the middle and low in the north and south".(2)The comprehensive development relationship of the Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration presents a complex network feature,no city can be independent of the network,the spatial correlation of the comprehensive development of the urban agglomeration is not very close,the level of integration of the urban agglomeration is low,but the accessibility of the network is good.(3)From the perspective of internal influencing factors,economic,transportation,society and innovate are the main factors affecting the integrated development of Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration;from the perspective of external influencing factors,social consumption level and population agglomeration capacity are the main factors that promote the development of Shandong Peninsula cities.From the above research conclusions,it can be seen that the Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration is still in the initial stage of integrated development.In order to better promote the integration process of the Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration,it is necessary not only to tap the inherent potential of the integrated development of the urban agglomeration from the perspective of city association.On the one hand,cultivate new kinetic energy,promote industrial optimization and upgrading,implement an innovation-driven development strategy,build a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network,strengthen regional ecological protection coordination,and promote the sharing of highquality basic public services in urban and rural areas;On the other hand,give full play to the government’s ability to coordinate the integrated development of urban agglomerations,explore the multi-level coordinated development mechanism of Shandong Peninsula urban agglomerations,promote the integrated construction of commodity markets,and promote the layout and construction of modern logistics industries. |
