Research On China’s Digital Economy To Boost Rural Revitalization

Digital economy is a new economic form after industrial economy,which has many advantages,such as breaking the restrictions of traditional economic model,weakening the asymmetry of information acquisition,optimizing industrial structure and promoting economic cycle.In 2017,the central government put forward the strategy of rural revitalization,aiming at solving the problems of farmers in agriculture and rural areas and developing the countryside in accordance with the "twenty crosses" principle and policy.The central government also put forward the digital rural policy,with the help of the power of the digital economy,releasing the potential energy of the countryside,narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas and realizing common prosperity.Firstly,this paper expounds the background and significance of the research,and combs the connotation,measurement and influence of digital economy and rural revitalization studied by predecessors at home and abroad,which paves the way for this study.Secondly,it theoretically analyzes the direct and indirect influence mechanism of digital economy on rural revitalization to support empirical analysis.Thirdly,the panel data of 30 provinces(excluding Tibet)in China from 2013 to 2020 are selected,and the digital economy index system is constructed from three levels of digital infrastructure,digital industrialization and industrial digitalization,and the rural revitalization index system is constructed from five levels of industrial prosperity,ecological livability,rural civilization,effective governance and affluent life,so as to measure the development level of digital economy and rural revitalization.Finally,the benchmark regression model is used to test the direct impact of digital economy on rural revitalization,and the endogenous and robust tests are carried out to ensure the reliability of the results;Introduce the intermediate variable technology innovation level to test the indirect influence of digital economy on rural revitalization;Finally,it examines the influence of digital economy in different regions on rural revitalization.The empirical results show that:(1)During the eight-year study period,the development level of digital economy and rural revitalization has increased year by year,and there are regional differences.According to the development level from high to low,the order is eastern region > central region > western region;(2)The results of benchmark regression show that the digital economy significantly promotes rural revitalization;(3)The result of intermediary effect shows that the level of technological innovation plays a partial intermediary role in the process of digital economy promoting rural revitalization;(4)The influence of digital economy on rural revitalization exists regional heterogeneity,that is,it is significant in the eastern region,but not obvious in the central and western regions.Based on this,the suggestions put forward in this paper are as follows:(1)Increase the level of digital infrastructure construction,with special emphasis on the construction of the central and western regions;(2)Pay attention to the rural industrial reform,extend the agricultural industrial chain,and promote the penetration of digital technology into traditional industries;(3)Pay attention to training and introducing digital talents,and do a good job in the placement of talents;(4)Increase support and improve the level of technological innovation.
