Ecosystem has been introduced into management for more than 20 years.With the rapid development of the Internet and the prosperity of the digital economy,in today’s serious "disintermediation" effect,changing the traditional organizational structure and innovating business models will help companies adapt to external changing environment.Under such circumstances,building a business ecosystem with itself as the core or joining the business ecosystem has become a shortcut for enterprises to enhance their core competitiveness.Facing the impact of the Internet,Haier chose to transform into a platform and build a business ecosystem to deal with the dual challenges of growth and transformation.This paper studies Haier ’s application to the business ecosystem,focusing on the impact of its business ecosystem on enterprise value creation.Previous studies on business ecosystems have mostly focused on conceptual connotations and operational mechanisms,and are mostly concentrated in the financial industry,emerging Internet industries or retail industry.There are relatively few studies on the ecological transformation and effects of the platform at the strategic level of traditional manufacturing companies.Thence,it is important to study the business ecosystem and value creation process of industrial Internet companies.This paper adopts the method of case study and comparative analysis,based on the theory of value network,synergy effect and moat theory,sorts and summarizes the literature related to business ecosystem and enterprise value creation,and summarizes and comments on them.According to the existing theory and literature,it first introduces the evolution stage and structural model of Haier’s business ecosystem,and then analyzes the impact path of Haier’s business ecosystem on value creation from three aspects: network effect,synergy effect and core competitiveness.Finally,the evaluation and analysis of the value creation effect are carried out based on two aspects of financial value and market value.The research results show that,from the perspective of the impact path of value creation,Haier’s business ecosystem relies on the platform to empower small and micro enterprises,obtain user value by stimulating network effects,agglomerating synergistic effects and building a "moat",forming scale advantages,and promoting operations and finance.Improved efficiency,enhanced customer stickiness,and increased corporate value.From the perspective of value creation effect,Haier’s construction of a business ecosystem has brought a leap in value to the enterprise,improved employee work efficiency,optimized product structure,financial performance has market potential,market response has performed well,and future competitive advantages are obvious.In short,when building a business ecosystem,enterprises should adapt to the new market environment and make good use of the resources of the ecosystem,focus on cultivating innovation costs,actively develop community relations and supply chain relations,and establish resource sharing alliances.Starting from its own conditions,become the core enterprise of the ecosystem,or become a partner of the ecosystem to achieve sustainable development.The above research will help enrich the research results on business ecosystems,and hope to provide reference for traditional enterprises such as manufacturing to transform and build business ecosystems.
