| Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up,China’s manufacturing industry has made remarkable achievements,but there is still a situation of "large but not strong",which is far from a strong manufacturing country.It is very important to improve the labor productivity of the manufacturing industry and help the manufacturing industry improve its international competitiveness.Therefore,based on the panel data of manufacturing industry segmentation from 2008 to 2020,this thesis analyzes the differential impact of technology introduction,independent innovation and imitation innovation on manufacturing labor productivity.Firstly,using endogenous economic growth theory and Cobb-Douglas production function,this thesis establishes a theoretical model to analyze the impact of technological innovation model on manufacturing labor productivity and its internal intermediate mechanism.Secondly,through the "China Industrial Statistics Yearbook" and the official website of the National Bureau of statistics and other ways to collect relevant data of the manufacturing industry,this thesis expounds the mode of technological innovation and the current situation of labor productivity in the manufacturing industry.At present,the cost of technology introduction in China’s manufacturing industry is much higher than the cost of digestion and absorption,the investment of R&D funds and human resources is increasing,the added value of the manufacturing industry continues to rise,and the labor productivity is improving.Thirdly,using fixed effect model and intermediary effect model,this thesis introduces control variables such as industrial scale and human capital to study the impact of technological innovation on manufacturing labor productivity.The results show that:independent innovation has a significant role in promoting labour productivity in the manufacturing industry,while technology introduction and imitation innovation have a hindering effect on labour productivity in the manufacturing industry;the effect of technological innovation mode on labour productivity in heterogeneous industries is the same as that in the manufacturing industry as a whole,and the size of the industry shows variability,with a negative effect only on the machinery processing industry;technological progress and labour average have a mediating effect in the impact of technological innovation mode on labour productivity in the manufacturing industry.Capital has a mediating effect.Finally,some suggestions are put forward based on the conclusions: the government should increase the efforts of independent innovation,adjust the structure of R&D investment;improve the policy of talent guarantee,and optimise the allocation structure of each factor.The industry should attach importance to independent innovation and increase funding for digestion and absorption;give play to the industry’s leading edge and promote integration with high technology. |
