The excessive and inefficient use of chemical pesticides not only brings enormous pressure to the ecological environment,but also seriously threatens food safety and human health.Biological pesticide with low toxicity and low residue is an effective mean to promote the reduction of chemical pesticides.However,the current market share of biological pesticide is still relatively low,and farmers still rely mainly on chemical pesticides for pesticide application.The selection of biological pesticide is not optimistic.China is the world’s largest fruit producing country,and as the main body of fruit production activities,fruit farmers have the decision-making power to choose pesticides.Therefore,studying the selection behavior of fruit farmers’ biological pesticide and promoting the promotion of biological pesticide technology is of great practical significance for implementing the reduction of chemical pesticides,promoting fruit quality production,and returning agricultural development to the green essence.Based on the definition of apple growers,biological pesticide and the selection behavior of biological pesticide,this paper constructs a research framework according to theory of planned behavior,technology acceptance model and marginal technology substitution theory;Based on macro data,analyze the current situation of pesticide application in Hebei Province,and use stochastic frontier approach to calculate the pesticide input-output elasticity of apple production in Hebei Province;Based on micro survey data from 285 apple growers,this study aims to identify the current status of fruit farmers’ selection behavior of biological pesticide and the problems in biological pesticide promotion.Structural equation model and hierarchical regression test method are used to study the influencing factors of fruit farmers’ selection behavior of biological pesticide.Research has found that:firstly,the reduction of pesticide use in Hebei Province has achieved significant results,but the annual application intensity of pesticides is still higher than international safety standards.The input-output elasticity of pesticides in apple production is negative,and pesticide inputs are redundant.Promoting biological pesticide is a practical need to promote the reduction of chemical pesticides and the improvement of apple industry quality and efficiency.Secondly,fruit farmers do not have a high understanding of biological pesticide,and their pesticide selection is still mainly chemical pesticides.The degree of selection of biological pesticide is low,and the selection of varieties is single,with insufficient firmness in selection.Thirdly,perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use positively affect the behavioral attitudes and behaviors of fruit farmers in choosing biological pesticide.In the process of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use affecting fruit farmers’ selection behavior of biological pesticide,behavioral attitudes and behavioral intentions play a chain mediating role;Behavioral attitudes,subjective norms,and perceived behavioral control positively affect the willingness and behavior of fruit farmers to choose biological pesticide,but their impact on behavior is smaller than that on willingness;Behavioral willingness positively affects the biological pesticide selection behavior of fruit farmers,and plays a mediating role in the transmission of behavior attitudes,subjective norms,and perceptual behavior control;The sense of moral responsibility positively regulates the influence of subjective norms and perceptual behavior control on selection behavior of biological pesticide.The innovation of this article is reflected in two aspects:firstly,using the stochastic frontier method to calculate the input-output elasticity of pesticides in apple production in Hebei Province,enriching regional research on pesticide input-output in the apple field.Second,under the framework of technology acceptance model-theory of planned behavior,"moral responsibility" was incorporated to analyze the generation mechanism of biological pesticide selection behavior of fruit farmers from the psychological level.Structural equation model and hierarchical regression test method were used to test the influencing factors of biological pesticide selection behavior of fruit farmers,providing new ideas for the study of farmers’ selection behavior of biological pesticide.
