The "dual carbon" goals put forward higher requirements for pollution reduction in the new era and new stage.It is difficult to achieve green development only by end of pipe treatment.Forming a long-term governance system of carbon and pollution reduction,utilizing effective financial means,is essential for a comprehensive green and low-carbon transformation of the economy.And put forward relevant research assumptions.Analyzing the current state of digital inclusive finance in China and counties in the Yangtze River’s upper reaches,the entropy weight method is employed to measure the synergy index of carbon and pollution reduction in314 counties from 2014 to 2018.Subsequently,the results of the assessment are evaluated.For empirical testing,the benchmark regression model and spatial econometric model are employed,with the method of variable replacement and transformation of the spatial weight matrix being utilized used to test the robustness;Two stage least square method(GS2SLS),dynamic space generalized moment estimation(SPGMM)and dynamic space Dubin model(SDM-L)are used to deal with endogenous problems;At the same time,according to the province division,the heterogeneity of different provinces is analyzed;The transmission path of industrial structure is explored with the method of gradual regression of intermediary effect.The research results show that: First,the development of digital inclusive finance can significantly promote the synergy level of carbon and pollution reduction in counties in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River,and research hypothesis 1 is established;Second,the development of digital inclusive finance had a varied influence on the synergy of carbon and pollution reduction in counties in the upper Yangtze River basin,and had varying effects on the synergy of carbon and pollution reduction in different provinces.Hypothesis 3 was established;fourth,the mechanism study revealed that digital inclusive finance could facilitate the combination of carbon and pollution reduction in counties at the upper Yangtze River’s edge through the alteration of industrial structure,thus prompting the formation of hypothesis 4.The innovation of this paper lies in focusing on the county region,the basic administrative unit of economy and society,giving full consideration to the spatial correlation characteristics of environmental governance itself,using spatial metrology method,and providing policy basis for China’s economy to achieve the synergistic effect of carbon reduction and pollution reduction from the perspective of the development of digital inclusive finance.Based on the research results,this paper puts forward corresponding policy suggestions on improving the infrastructure construction of digital inclusive finance,coordinating the coordinated development of regional digital inclusive finance,and working hard to optimize and adjust the industrial structure,so as to provide theoretical reference for digital inclusive finance to help the counties in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River to reduce carbon and pollution.
