As a new economic form supported by new technologies after the natural economy and industrial economy,the digital economy has received high attention from governments and organizations around the world since its birth.The development of the digital economy is changing the global economic landscape and has a profound impact on the market landscape and production organizational structure of international trade.At the same time,since the implementation of the "the Belt and Road" construction,China has continuously expanded its economic and trade activities with countries along the "the Belt and Road",and its export trade volume has shown an increasing trend.However,in recent years,with the rise of anti globalization trends,international trade frictions have intensified,and foreign economic activities of various countries have shown a sustained slowdown trend.However,even against the backdrop of obstructed international economic and trade activities,the digital economy still exhibits a strong radiating and driving effect.Perhaps the digital economy can promote international trade exchanges among countries and overcome the depression.It is of important theoretical and practical significance to study the impact of the development level of the digital economy of importing countries on the efficiency of China’s export trade.Based on this,this paper conducts a study on the impact of digital economy development level of countries along the "the Belt and Road" on China’s export trade efficiency.Based on previous research,this paper selects three primary indicators and nine secondary sub indicators representing the development level of the digital economy to construct a comprehensive evaluation index system for the development level of the digital economy.On this basis,using Python software and factor analysis method,the digital economy development level of 40 sample countries along the "the Belt and Road" in this paper is quantitatively measured,and the digital economy development level index(DIG)of countries along the "Belt and Road" in 2011-2020 is calculated to evaluate the overall situation of their digital economy development.In the empirical part,the heterogeneous stochastic frontier gravity model is used to empirically test the impact of the digital economy development level of countries along the "the Belt and Road" on China’s export trade efficiency.The digital economy development level index(DIG)is introduced into the trade constraint model as a core explanatory variable to test its relationship with the mean value of trade inefficiency,and then to figure out how it affects export trade efficiency.Finally,based on the empirical results,policy recommendations are proposed to improve China’s export trade efficiency and promote good economic and trade exchanges and cooperation with countries along the line. |
