Family firms is an important force for economic development,China’s family firms after years of development,coupled with the market environment in recent years,the competition has intensified.Innovation is the driving force behind firms development and performance,and family firms are under increasing pressure to innovate.This paper is based on the case analysis of Zhejiang Longsheng,RTGF and Jihua Group,and the research content mainly includes: Chapter 1,Introduction.This chapter clarifies the research background of this paper,and determines the research methods and content of this paper based on the research results of previous researchers.Chapter 2,Literature Review.This chapter summarizes the management methods of family enterprises into three management methods: authoritative management,differential management and intergenerational inheritance.Chapter 3,Conceptual Definition and Theoretical Basis.This chapter summarizes the concepts and theories covered in this paper,including the theory of high-level echelons,the theory of social-emotional wealth,the theory of authority legitimacy,and Schumpeter’s theory of innovation.Chapter 4,Analysis of the Impact of Innovation on Performance under Authoritative Management:Taking Zhejiang Longsheng as an Example.Chapter 5,Analysis of the Impact of Innovation on Performance under Differential Management Method: Taking RTGF as an Example.Chapter 6,Analysis of the Impact of Innovation on Performance under Intergenerational Inheritance Management: Taking Jihua Group as an Example.Chapter7,Comparative Analysis of the Impact of Innovation on Enterprise Performance under Three Management Styles.Based on the introduction of the basic situation and management methods,this paper analyzes the innovation of the three enterprises in the same industry,and then uses a variety of methods to analyze the impact of innovation on the performance of the enterprise,and then comprehensively compares and analyzes the main differences,and finally concludes.Chapter VIII,Conclusions and Recommendations.This chapter draws conclusions and recommendations based on the previous summary.The innovation point of this paper lies in the comparative study of Zhejiang Longsheng,RTGF and Jihua Group,analyzing the impact of innovation on enterprise performance under the three management methods,and drawing conclusions and making suggestions to help family enterprises optimize management and better innovate.Through the analysis of this paper,it is concluded that: First,the authoritative management mode in asset-heavy family enterprises can most effectively play the role of innovation in promoting performance.Second,the innovation strategy adopted by enterprises under the authoritative management mode is greatly influenced by the personal characteristics of managers.Third,the intensification of conflicts between family members under the differential management method will increase management costs,which is not conducive to the role of innovation in promoting enterprise performance.Fourth,intergenerational management inhibits the performance of innovation.Fifth,the smooth and orderly completion of the inheritance of enterprises under the intergenerational inheritance management method can alleviate its negative impact.Based on the research conclusions,this paper makes suggestions: First,firms under authoritative management should choose more innovative family firms managers.Second,under the authoritative management model,firms should set up special innovation institutions.Third,firms should establish a reasonable governance structure under differential management.Fourth,firms should develop succession plans as early as possible under intergenerational management.
