| In recent years,the state has paid considerable attention to "digital-oriented" development and have actively supported and promoted "digital technology-supported" industrial transformation and upgrading.In addition,the abrupt emergence of a new pneumonia epidemic at the end of 2019 has made many businesses more cognizant of the significance of digital capabilities and the advantages of digital transformation and upgradation.Simultaneously,a comprehensive investigation of novel development paths in the digital economy is underway.The Chinese logistics industry’s largest company,s Group,is accelerating its digital transformation to better its business situation and achieve greater growth.There is less relevant literature linking enterprise digitalization and financial performance organically at present,and there is substantial disagreement regarding the influence of digital transformation on financial performance.Moreover,domestic logistics firms are still in the early stages of digital transformation and have a long way to go.This thesis organically links the digital transformation of the logistics industry with its financial performance,identifies the problems encountered in the digital transformation of the logistics industry and proposes solutions for them,thereby offering new ideas and recommendations for the digital transformation of the logistics industry.The study employs the literature research method,the case study method,and the comparative analysis method,supported by the process reengineering theory,the principal-agent theory,and the value chain theory,and conducts an in-depth investigation into the financial performance of S Group Company before and after digital transformation.Furthermore,the study combines the research results of domestic and foreign scholars,employs the financial index analysis method,and conducts a vertical and horizontal analysis,Identify and analyze the issues with S Group’s financial performance following digital transformation,and propose solutions such as customizing talent strategy big data to aid talent management,promoting supply chain transformation and upgrading,promoting cost reduction and efficiency,optimizing debt structure and equity structure,optimizing business structure,and extending upstream and downstream value chains based on cost performance.The results of this paper’s analysis demonstrate that the digital transformation of businesses has a significant impact on their financial performance and expand the scope of research into enhancing the financial performance of businesses.Through the analysis of the paper,we hope to offer some recommendations for enhancing the financial performance of S Group companies undergoing digital transformation,so as to serve as a point of reference for other companies in the same industry that have formulated digital transformation strategies. |
