| Retail industry plays an important role in China’s national economy.Its development and change trend can be used as a barometer to observe China’s national economy.With the development of e-commerce in China,e-commerce industry has rapidly occupied the domestic retail market and seriously restricted the prosperity of traditional retail.With the emergence of mainstream consumer groups born in the 1980s and 1990s,their personalized demands for consumer experience,convenience and quality are getting higher and higher,and the development of e-commerce has also experienced a period of weakness.Therefore,the new retail model of "online+offline+modern logistics" emerged at the right moment.This new retail model combines online convenient shopping with offline real consumption experience,and promotes the deep integration of online and offline through the high-speed development of logistics and distribution system,so that retail enterprises become more intelligent and more systematic.In order to survive in the competitive economic environment,more and more retail enterprises join in the transformation of the "new retail" model.As one of the leading enterprises in the retail industry,Yonghui Supermarket Co.,LTD.(referred to as "Yonghui Supermarket")actively responded to the call of government policies and the development of The Times,formally transformed to a new retail model in 2017 and became a model of the industry.Therefore,it is very representative as the research object of this thesis.First of all,this thesis introduces the research background and significance,systematically combs the relevant literature at home and abroad,and lays a foundation for the subsequent exposition with the help of theoretical basis.Secondly,this thesis takes Yonghui supermarket as the research object,clarifies the development process of its retail model and analyzes the motivation of its transformation into a new retail model from both internal and external aspects,so as to know the root.Then,the financial performance of Yonghui supermarket before and after its transformation is analyzed by economic added value(EVA),which verifies that "Yonghui supermarket’s transformation into a new retail model is successful".Through the key performance indicator assessment method(KPI),it is concluded that yonghui supermarket needs to make further improvements in cost control and inventory management after the transformation of the new retail model.Then,in order to improve the financial performance of Yonghui supermarket under the new retail model,targeted improvement measures are put forward to help Yonghui supermarket achieve healthy and sustainable development.Finally,this thesis summarizes the contents of the whole thesis and draws conclusions.At the same time,four suggestions are put forward to provide new ideas for other retail enterprises to transform the new retail model. |
