The Process Mechanism Of Institutional Entrepreneurship In Emerging Fields

Existing studies believe that the essence of institutional entrepreneurship is the process in which institutional entrepreneurs use various institutional entrepreneurship strategies to interact with their institutional environment and stakeholders,so as to achieve the goal of institutional entrepreneurship.In the context of emerging fields,the interaction between technological change and institutional change leads to normative institutional barriers and cognitive institutional barriers.The existing research on emerging fields is based on the western mature market economy,and there is less research on emerging fields in the context of China’s transition economy.This is a topic worthy of discussion in the field of institutional entrepreneurship research.In 2019,the "two cancers"(cervical cancer and breast cancer)examination project for rural women in the original major public health service projects was included in the basic public health services,which marked that HPV screening was widely accepted.However,the development of HPV detection has also experienced a series of institutional,technical and cognitive changes to reach today’s state.Based on the institutional entrepreneurship theory and the emerging field institutional entrepreneurship model,this paper studies the process mechanism of emerging field institutional entrepreneurship by taking H company,a leading enterprise in the field of HPV detection,as a case and combining the entrepreneurial process of H company.The results show that in the emerging field of HPV detection,the field characteristics and stakeholders at different institutional entrepreneurship stages are all different,and different institutional entrepreneurship strategies should be adopted according to the different needs of stakeholders to obtain legitimacy.The process of institutional entrepreneurship from one stage to another is the process of accumulating legitimacy level and crossing one or more legitimacy thresholds.In the field of nucleic acid detection,due to the development of regulations and technologies of regulatory agencies,the legitimacy of regulations and norms needs to be maintained and maintained periodically no matter which stage of institutional entrepreneurship,so as to prevent the reduction and failure of legitimacy.Through the case analysis under the background of emerging field institutions,this paper puts forward the emerging field institutional entrepreneurship process model of nucleic acid detection industry,and deeply discusses the characteristics of emerging fields and the process of emerging field institutional entrepreneurship.Institutional entrepreneurship strategy has different behavior performance and action mechanism in different stages.The application of institutional entrepreneurship strategy is a process of interaction between individuals or organizations.The in-depth study of institutional entrepreneurship strategy combined with emerging field model partially opens the "black box" of legitimacy acquisition in the process of institutional entrepreneurship.The research conclusion is helpful to understand the process mechanism of institutional entrepreneurship in emerging fields,expand the theory of institutional entrepreneurship,and has certain academic significance and theoretical contribution.In practice,it also has a strong practical guiding significance for the innovation and development of emerging industries,and provides practical reference for the innovation and development of organizations in the field.
