Analysis On The Influence Mechanism Of China’s Knowledge Complexity On Total Factor Productivity

Innovation is the first force to build a modern economic system.Innovation is the primary driving force for development and the strategic support.A key factor in building a region’s competitive advantage is the creation of complex knowledge that is harder to discover or replicate.At present,the urgent problem to be solved in our society is how to identify the value and quality of regional knowledge.Based on this,this paper uses the analysis method of complex network to construct a knowledge-geography dual-mode network to explore the importance of regional knowledge nodes,identify the quality and distribution of regional knowledge,and build regional knowledge on this basis.A mechanism study of the effect of complexity on total factor productivity(TFP).At the theoretical and practical levels,this paper discusses the real state of knowledge quality in China as a whole and in different regions and the dynamic economic effects it can produce.The results show that from 2006 to 2016,the knowledge complexity index(KCI)of each region in my country has achieved different degrees of growth,and the growth rate of KCI in each region has a gradually decreasing trend.The KCI of cities in the eastern coastal area is the highest,and the KCI of most areas in the western area is quite different from that in the eastern area.And the knowledge complexity of each region has a significant positive effect on total factor productivity.Finally,based on the analysis of the mediation effect and the spatial effect between cities,it is concluded that knowledge complexity promotes the growth of regional total factor productivity through two modes of aggregation effect and spillover effect.Based on this,this paper puts forward the following policy suggestions: First,local governments should implement innovation-driven as a regional development strategy,give full play to regional advantages to lead innovation and development,optimize the way to acquire complex knowledge,strengthen the flow of knowledge and economy between regions,and improve innovation capabilities.Promote regional economic growth.Secondly,the cultivation of regional innovation soil should be strengthened.The purpose of cultivating a culture and atmosphere of innovation is to create complex knowledge and make innovation commonplace in society as a whole.Finally,we should optimize the allocation of regional resources,increase policy support for areas with weak complex knowledge and complex technologies,alleviating the trend of expanding absolute differences in knowledge complexity between regions.
