The influence of knowledge diversity on firm performance has always attracted much attention,but related researches have ignored the structural impact of the combined effect of knowledge diversity and homogeneity of senior management team on firm’s business development.As a key element of enterprise operation decision,the knowledge structure characteristics of senior management team have an important impact on organizational development and performance.China’s gem enterprises are mainly small and medium-sized enterprises focusing on high-tech research and development,innovation and production.They have made indelible contributions to China’s economic transformation and industrial upgrading for a long time.To this end,this thesis explores the influence of knowledge structure of senior management team of gem listed companies on corporate performance,including individual knowledge diversity into the influence of team knowledge structure on corporate performance,and measures the coverage characteristics of team knowledge distribution with the density of complex network formed by senior management members and knowledge as nodes.It can provide a new direction for the optimization of knowledge structure of senior management team and the improvement of enterprise performance of small and medium-sized enterprises during the economic transition period in China.Knowledge coverage is a higher requirement for the rationality of knowledge structure on the basis of knowledge diversification,which,together with knowledge diversity and equity incentive,affects enterprise performance.To explore the internal enterprise senior team knowledge covering the influence mechanism of enterprise performance,with 421 listed on the gem high-tech enterprises as samples,to the LDA 2745 executive resume text topic modeling and Word2 Vec term vector modeling members-knowledge category information,to construct knowledge for the node with team members,two mode network computing knowledge coverage,The moderating variable knowledge diversity and equity incentive are introduced.The results show that:(1)there is a positive correlation between the knowledge network coverage and corporate performance among the four types of knowledge within the senior management team,namely,financial accounting,technological r&d and production,marketing and sales,and investment management;(2)There is a negative correlation between the diversity of knowledge in financial accounting,technological R&D and production,marketing and sales,and investment management among senior executives and corporate performance;(3)Knowledge diversity can reduce the positive effect of knowledge coverage on firm performance to some extent and play a negative moderating role,but this moderating effect only exists in firms with firm age >10.(4)Equity incentive plays a positive moderating role in the influence of knowledge coverage of senior management team on corporate performance.Management implications from the research conclusions :(1)Medium-sized enterprises in the development stage should attach importance to the knowledge structure construction of senior management team,especially the knowledge coverage of the team should reach a certain level,and team members should be encouraged to communicate and learn more;(2)Medium-sized enterprises in the development stage should balance knowledge diversity and knowledge coverage within the senior management team as soon as possible;(3)Mediumsized enterprises in the development stage should reasonably implement equity incentive policies.
