Study On The Problem Of "Empty Nest Elderly" In Rural Liaoyuan Of Jilin Province

At present,the population ageing has become a social issue of common concern all over the world.Since our country stepped into the age of aging in 2000,the term“Old-age service” has become a hot word in the field of people’s livelihood,rural old-age service is also a matter of great concern to the Chinese government.Whether in this year’s government work report or at the national two conferences,the issue of Rural old-age service has been mentioned,in particular,it mentions the problems of the old-age service for the special groups such as the old people who have lost their independence and the “Empty nest” in the countryside.Liaoyuan,located in the middle of northeast China,is mainly planted with crops and has a backward economy.As a result of the urbanization process,a large number of young rural workers went to the cities to work,and older villagers stayed at home,the number of “Empty nest elderly” in rural areas is increasing,but the weak Base,the low level of education,the absence of children and other reasons have brought greater challenges to the rural “Empty nest elderly” pension services.At present,the situation of the old-age service in Liaoyuan rural area of Jilin Province is not balanced with the demand for pursuing the goal of a better life.Therefore,in order to improve the quality of life of the “Empty nest elderly” in rural areas,revitalize the countryside and build a beautiful countryside,it is urgent to effectively solve the problems of the“Empty nest elderly” in rural areas.This paper has consulted a large number of documents related to the rural old-age service,and paid close attention to the research trends and the government’s policy suggestions.Taking the village of F in Liaoyuan,Jilin Province as the research area,the author makes an in-depth investigation on the actual situation of the “Empty nest” elderly care service in the local countryside by means of field investigation,interviews and other research methods,at present,there are some problems such as the imbalance between supply and demand of the old-age service,the imperfection of the old-age service system and the insufficient supply of the old-age institutions in the rural “Empty nest” old-age service in Liaoyuan.The main reasons are the limited conditions of multiple providers,the deviation of theory and policy in the construction of the old-age service system,and the high price and low level of specialization of the rural old-age institutions.At last,the author puts forward several countermeasures: giving full play to the advantages of the providers of old-age services,perfecting the supply system of old-age services in rural areas,giving full play to the leading role of the government,clarifying the roles and functions of the multi-subjects,and developing the rural old-age care institutions in coordination.It is hoped that this paper can provide a theoretical basis for the local government to solve the problem of “Empty-nest elderly” in rural areas and improve the level of “Empty-nest elderly” in rural Liaoyuan,Jilin Province,let the rural“Empty nest elderly” in the happy old age!...
