Agricultural production is closely related to natural weather.Nowadays, natural disasters occur frequently. In order to reduce the losses caused by disasters,it is very necessary and urgent to vigorously carry out agricultural insurance. The CPC Central Committee and the State Council attach great importance to the development of agriculture, rural areas and farmers in China. The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China clearly stated that we should speed up the construction of new agricultural business entities, expand the coverage of agricultural insurance, and promote the level of security to fully cover the cost of agricultural production. At the same time, due to the continuous improvement of various policy conditions of China’s agricultural insurance, the development level of agricultural insurance has made great progress, which can effectively help the Rural Revitalization Strategy.Agricultural insurance is of great significance. It can not only reduce farmers’ losses in the process of agricultural production, but also improve farmers’ risk prevention ability and effectively stabilize farmers’ income. However, there are still some deficiencies in the effective demand for agricultural insurance. The in-depth study on the demand for agricultural insurance can not only enrich the existing literature, but also provide suggestions and guidance on how to improve the effective demand for agricultural insurance.Through the survey of the development of agricultural insurance in Anhui Province,it is not difficult to find that although it has achieved fruitful results, there are also some problems: the government’s support for agricultural insurance is weak;Insufficient supply of agricultural insurance;Farmers’ participation in agricultural insurance is low.In this paper,a total of 400 farmers in five townships in three prefecture level cities in central, northern and southern Anhui Province are selected as research samples, and they are interviewed in the form of questionnaires. Then, descriptive statistical analysis of the data is made, and a binary logistic regression model is constructed to analyze the relevant influencing factors. After regression analysis,we know that: Farmers’ age, education level, planting scale, average annual income of families in recent three years The agricultural income ratio and the number of disasters have a significant impact on the demand for agricultural insurance.Among them, age, education level and average annual income in recent three years are negatively correlated with the demand for agricultural insurance, while the planting scale, agricultural income ratio and the number of disasters are positively correlated with the demand for agricultural insurance; However, the number of permanent residents, the number of main labor force, the understanding of agricultural insurance and the importance of agricultural insurance have no influence on the demand for agricultural insurance. Finally, through the analysis and research, some conclusions are drawn, and combined with the conclusions, some countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to effectively improve the agricultural insurance demand of farmers in Anhui Province.Among them, insurance companies should provide diversified agricultural insurance products as required, strive to improve the management level, and strengthen the publicity of agricultural insurance; The government should issue more local agricultural insurance laws and regulations, increase financial support and actively improve farmers’ income;Farmers themselves should also improve their understanding of agricultural insurance and cultivate awareness of agricultural risk prevention.I hope these suggestions can promote the development of agricultural insurance in Anhui Province.
