Industry nurturing agriculture is the general law of economic development in the process of industrialization.Different from the sustained and rapid growth of industrialization, agricultural development will generally be in a volatile growth state. The unbalanced development of industry and agriculture will lead to the imbalance between industry and agriculture, the widening gap between urban and rural areas, the continuous flow of resources from rural areas to cities and the frequent occurrence of social problems. As a strong industrial province,Shandong Province ranked as high as 14 counties(cities)in the "top 100 industrial counties in China" in 2020.Although the county industry has achieved rapid development,it is still lagging behind in the economic development of many rural areas and failed to keep up with the pace of industrial modernization due to the disadvantages of capital, technology and small-scale peasant economy. At present, the development of county economy in Shandong is facing the transformation and development stage of "promoting agriculture with joint efforts and leading villages with cities",and the coordinated development of industry and agriculture has begun to produce new changes and adjustments. Therefore, effectively analyzing the coordinated development relationship between County Industrial Development and farmers’ income growth in Shandong has strong practical significance for narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas and realizing rural revitalization.Based on the county level panel data of Shandong Province from 2000 to 2019,this paper systematically studies the temporal and spatial coupling and regulation of County Industrial Development and farmers’ income growth in Shandong Province.Firstly, this paper summarizes and arranges the relevant research literature, concept definition and relevant theories at home and abroad,so as to provide a theoretical basis for this research;Secondly, based on the coupling degree model, coupling coordination degree model, bivariate spatial autocorrelation model and two-way fixed model, this paper tests the temporal and spatial changes and related influencing factors of County Industrial Development and farmers’ income growth in Shandong Province. The results show that there is significant spatial correlation and spatial heterogeneity between county economic growth and farmers’ income level in Shandong Province,And the spatial distribution shows the characteristics of regional imbalance. The level of county economic development, urbanization, the proportion of financial support for agriculture, the level of fixed asset investment and the level of county rural financial development all contribute to the improvement of the coupling coordination between County Industrial Development and farmers’ income growth in Shandong Province. In addition, there is a significant positive trend of "industry feeding agriculture" in Shandong county.Industrial scale, industrial vitality and industrial benefits are conducive to promoting the growth of County farmers’ income, but they show certain regional heterogeneity. Finally, based on the research conclusions, this paper further puts forward corresponding regulatory policies from the aspects of increasing multi-level investment support for rural areas, accelerating the improvement of county financial support for agriculture, further improving the urbanization level of each county, and expanding and strengthening industry to promote the role of industry in promoting agriculture.
