| Since the reform and opening up,China’s economy has experienced sustained rapid growth, but also presents the “three high” characteristics of high growth, high energy consumption and high pollution. Therefore,it is necessary to pay attention to the environmental cost and ecological cost of economic development, and adhere to the road of healthy and sustainable green development.Traditional economic efficiency is calculated without considering the cost of environmental pollution and energy consumption, thus failing to fully reflect the pure economic efficiency after the elimination of environment and energy costs. However, green economic efficiency(GEE)is a comprehensive indicator, which calculates economic growth, environmental pollution and energy consumption at the same time,to enhance the green economic efficiency is the key to the long-term sustainable development of China. From the perspective of trade structure, this thesis studies the impact of China’s international trade on green economic efficiency. It is found that China’s international trade has a positive impact on green economic efficiency in the long run,but a negative impact in the short run;indicating that in the short run,China’s international trade has the “pollution haven” effect. In the long run, international trade has a significant impact on green economic efficiency regardless of the proportion of high-tech goods in trade. For the regions with a high proportion of high-tech products in trade volume, international trade has the greatest driving effect on green economic efficiency, indicating that the optimization and upgrading of trade structure can be conducive to the improvement of international trade on green economic efficiency in the long run.It indicates that for the regions with relatively advanced trade commodity structure, although the process of economic growth is accompanied by environmental pollution and energy consumption, the speed of economic growth is faster, which is enough to offset the negative effect of unintended output, while the positive impact of international trade on green economic growth still has a lag.For regions with a relatively low trade volume of high-tech products, they are still performing unsustainable development at the cost of environmental pollution and energy consumption. It is necessary for these regions to improve energy efficiency, attach importance to environmental pollution, and strictly adjust and control undesirable output while increasing desirable output. From the perspective of trade commodity structure, this thesis explains the heterogeneity of economic growth effect and environmental effect of international trade in different regions, and provides incremental contributions to the academic research on trade and green economic efficiency. Also, this thesis aims to provide a new perspective on China’s trade structure adjustment, green economic development and environmental protection, helping China to achieve resource conservation and environmental improvement on the basis of maximum economic development. |
